Can someone please let me know which is stronger and provide actual evidence please.
I have no evidence, but I think The Answer because it allows for more mobility.
Damage profiles are very similar as both weapons kill in a handful of shots. The Chaingun turret may have a slight edge as it is a support weapon, but it is susceptible to overheating and it reduces your speed.
Not sure which is “stronger” but The Answer is definitely “better”.
Way higher mobility as the chaingun reduces movement speed and doesn’t allow thrusting. The Answer is also a SAW, so it has a gigantic clip as opposed to the chaingun which can overheat and doesn’t shoot as fast (I think). The Answer also has the range of a sniper rifle with crazy good accuracy, while the chaingun is a crapshoot from longer distances.
The Answer every time if there’s a choice between the two.
The Answer wins just because you have better mobility with it.

Jorge’s chaingun does provide damage resistance. I survived a energy sword which allowed me to take the guy out.

Pair that with Upgraded Shields / Overshield and you’re a literal juggernaut.
It really depends on what you want. You want to kill things out of bases and have unlimited ammo but have to trust someone to do good on the turret, on I earth or. Do you value mobility and high ammo capacity but be more susceptible to kills and loss of ammo, then the answer. I think the answer is the best because you can fire more continuously and be everywhere, but you can wreck with a hog.

Sorry for the bad joke lol. Like many others I prefer the mobility and flexibility of it. While the Oni chaingun is great, I always feel like I need a teammate nearby to cover for me or to be a distraction.
If I remember the standard saw and chaingun have the same exact stats, (just the chaingun has less recoil and the saw has more mobility,) so im guessing the oni and answer are the same, so it depends on what you want to do, if your supporting from the back then oni, if you want the mobility then answer, in the end I would say the answer is better.
I would have to guess the answer because that thing melts people

i have to disagree on the answer having the range of a sniper, the range is only low midrange, where as the turret can be used as a long range dusting weapon. sure the answer is more mobile and has a higher rate of fire but if you are trying to duel someone with an oni chaingun at long range while you are using an answer you will most likely lose.

I’m sure he didn’t mean with the red reticle. I’ve killed tons of people across the map with The Answer and I have to disagree on losing a duel to a ONI chaingun.

ONI chain gun kills in 0.74 seconds and can go full auto for 40 shots.
The Answer kills in 0.66 seconds. 3 got shield, and 2 more shots for health.
All Chain guns have better red reticle range, and less spread leading to far better accuracy. SAW’s are good even at medium range but will lose to chain guns when range increases.
The Answer shoots tiny explosives that explode near the enemy. So if the projectile is 6 cm (actually not sure what the distance is) off it can still explode and do some damage.
This means that shoots that miss from the Answer can still damage the target. So for the Answer you can get away with shooting ‘near’ your target and take them down fast. This gives the illusion the Answer has amazing accuracy when it doesn’t. Due to this feature however the average time to kill is very close to the minimum time to kill.
Any other SAW has a minimum time to kill of 0.77 seconds for head, and 0.87 seconds for bodyshots.

Honestly, I think the Answer is the better weapon, due to not having a restriction on mobility - if you are a good player you can really wreak some havok with an Answer. Combine it with damage boost or active camo and you can be almost unstoppable.
