Have cR(100 to 300)along with a item be the ultimate weekly reward
That’s fine as long as weekly ultimate can be progressed while the other weeklies are still ongoing. I still find it incredibly dumb that it may take me 6 hours to complete my 20 weeklies and then I can finally progress the ultimate one. I’d bet big money their avg player plays tops 6 hours a week - which is higher now than at launch because population already going down as you would expect post launch and you know there are guys who play 16 hours a day propping that number up.
Really I’d make all weeklies progress able at the same time, make a few of them worth 50 cr each. Make ranked give cr based on placement and give out cr per week. This would get the people who avoid ranked an incentive to play - again they would play their skill level - it’s not like bronze 5 is going to play onyx 1868 unless they party up. Since it’s per week it would have to remain low in general regardless of where you place. If they tried doing it end of season - people would just do it last second - defeating the purpose of trying to get more involvement in playlists (could save that for a seasonal skin/coating rewards though).
There are many opportunities to give out CR, as you mentioned, but I don’t like the idea of basing it on skill or placement.
Regardless, every free-to-play game that gives ingame currency for free make it so it takes an astronomical long time to gain enough to use, especially if you play more casually. So they would make it so it takes 6 months to gain 1k or 2k CR, which as a result, would make it drive players away from the game, because they know how long it would take to get anything worthwhile, and as soon as they use it, it takes them another half-a-year to gain it back again.
