One thing I miss from the old Halo games

The motion blur. While at times it was distracting, it gave the game the optical illusion of being vast. If you look back at the level spire on reach, it is about half the size of the maps in halo 4, but it appears nearly 4-5 times as big, because of the optical illusion from the motion blur. If you look at Valhalla vs ragnorock, Valhalla looks nearly 14-18 times as big from the blur. In my opinion the blur just made the game look/feel smoother/deeper for some reason, even though at times it was distracting. In halo 4, when you zoom in with a scope it literally looks like you’re looking at something right next to you as opposed to something that is across the map. The map complex is huge, but looks like a plastic toy when playing it.

I miss a lot of things… Now I am old and am forced to watch these youngsters be deprived of games that are rewarding and balanced.

The scary part here is I’m only 16 and I feel like this. 343 is trying to turn all of us into grouchy old men.

Motion blur gave me that great feeling right in the colon. I want it back.

And OP are you insane? Motion blur is a terrible feature.

We need weapon tuning in customs. What I really want is an editing kit for Halo 4, or at least Halo 5.

Magnum in Halo 4 is perfect. The Halo 3 magnum, now that was horrible. Plus The magnum is insanely powerful for what it is, a pistol. Much better than the Reach one too IMO. Halo CE, obviously we know that thing is very powerful, and Halo 2 had no scope and oddly took three melees to kill someone.

What the hell? The H4 magnum is the most viable (of course, ODST pistol is the best).

You even get sped up animations.

It just needs a bigger clip.

you must only be missing Reach then cause thats the only game it was in

Waaa? Halo 4’s pistol is pretty darn good. If you land all the bullets, the person will be a one shot and just switch to your presicion weapon and shoot once and he’s dead.

Yea…but the CE/CEA Magnum, i tanked through the entire campaign using it. If only the Magnum in 4 was that powerful, i would use it. Yet, the speed up animation is another thing, but if that were to happen, the Magnum would be too OP.
With the ODST pistol, i hope it returns, b/c i pulled more headshots in FF than i do with the Magnum in Reach FF.

Its great when i use it in SWAT, but in Slayer…idk. Once i weaken the player, i have to reload it, but by the time i finish, im already dead, lol.

Bleh, H4 Magnum in SWAT. Needs to burn.

But yeah, I do not miss motion blur at all. I have eye problems and the blur did not flipping help at all.

1st, the halo 3 pistol was incredibly lame.
2nd, The halo 4 pistol is the 2nd best in the series IMO. At least it’s not weak.

I agree but weren’t Halo 3 and Reach the only games with motion blur?

Isnt looking down your scope more Depth of Field issues, not motion blur?

Motion blur is just interpolating between frames to try and ‘hide’ framerate issues by making it blurry instead of jumpy.
