One thing I love about the new spawning

If you die you can only come back by pressing x

Goodbye afks ruining games!

Don’t people spawn automatically after a while though?

> Don’t people spawn automatically after a while though?

Yeah, it does, actually…

> Don’t people spawn automatically after a while though?

I think I heard otherwise I hope it’s the press x system that way you can go to the bathroom or let your dog out real quick without screwing your team or quiting if you doing decent

Team is winning game

Everyone on team decides not to respawn so that the enemy is up against no one

Team wins by timing out

lolno. It forces you to respawn eventually, obviously.

Well, yes and no. There is a timer that will forcefully spawn you eventually, but it’s not like it’s 10 seconds. If you die, you’ll hit the timer again, so we assume it’s 20 seconds timer, + 10 seconds “spawn countdown”, that gives you 30 seconds AFK. If you die, you’ll have another 30 seconds, it could more, it could be less.
you’ll have time to complete a fast bathroom break without ruining the game, but you’d better play then go fix some food if you want to keep your stats.

it should be a long timer though, seeing as you can change your whole loadout when you die.

Still if you could sit out for 30 seconds, and average life in this game is a couple minutes, it’s conceivable that with a 10 point lead you can abuse this system and try to HLG your way to victory even more so than in the past. Not saying it’ll ruin gameplay, it’s just something to watch out for.

This is another reason why I kinda agree with Nexy over at THC as far as the option in game variants of giving the killstreak ordnance drop selection to the losing team- The leading team controls when the drop will come in by the amount of kills they are getting, but the losing team controls what that will be when it comes up.

For a team that gets a lead and goes to hide, this forces them out into the open if the losing team has chosen a weapon that will give a decisive advantage, and if the team is winning via map control, it gives the losing team some chance of gaining back some ground by spawning something that forces the winning team to change their setup to use effectively; let’s say, Railgun or Rockets instead of Sniper. Not to, say, constantly deny them a reward, just to put it in their own terms- “you get a power weapon, but you sure as hell ain’t getting sniper because you’re trashing us with the one you have already.”
