The M6D being in ONE game doesn’t make it a “staple of Halo.”
Just because it was a starting weapon then does not mean it should be a loadout weapon. “Balance” is still a thing that the devs have to consider.

It’s already a mess it was never balanced in the first place. I don’t think a staple and fan favorite from halo 1 would break it any more…

Did you even watch the livestream? Its a 3SK and absolutely not the same timeframe.
H2BR and H5BR are both 4SK and have nearly identical TTK.

Not at all. I don’t know if you remember, but the TTK for the CE Magnum is faster than a lot of H5 weapons, ESPECIALLY the loadout weapons. The M6D would become the ONLY gun you could use. There would be two kinds of Warzone playera: those without the M6D, and those who can still be competitive.
It’s also horrendous looking. The textures are somehow worse than the 2001 ones, and the model seems like 1.5x bigger.
They should’ve just copied the HCEA version. What we have looks way out of place and just goofy.
OP you can use the pistol in forge whenever you want

You aren’t the only one there. It’s jarring to say the least. The Halo 2 BR is a throwback but it looks like it belongs in this game. This just looks like an amateur’s conversion mod for the magnum.
You want a 3sk weapon to be a loadout weapon? I respect your opinion, but I can’t say I agree with it. A weapon as potent as the Combat Evolved pistol should be a power weapon in Halo 5’s sandbox. Besides, you can both spawn it in forge and equip it as a starting weapon in custom games, so you still get to use it whenever you want.
The CE magnum as a load out would be insane.This is a a great gift for those that have been here from the start. A LOT of players have been asking for this. It looks that way because its one of the most fun weapons in this series that has ever been made and its a really nice nod of recognition to those that remember the days of the CE magnum and Hang em high. At the same time this is a good chance to introduce the newer age players to a classic weapon.

as far as the pistol is concerned, it was always unbalanced, unless everyone spawns with it, it should only ever be a power weapon. Though I am cool with it being a power weapon pick-up in Arena. Like on the new map.

Staple? LOL, id agree if they made Br’s , or Ar’s, a one use weapon since they are the real staples of halo ( only unavailable in halo ce and reach), but this? the pistol functionned like a rifle, which is why u now have a dmr instead.
2x zoom plus a 3 shot kill, it fits a power weapon niche perfectly and should stay as it is.

not a chance mate, like it was mentionned in another post on this thread, both the h2 br and h5br have same ttk, but u can’t really compare the h5 pistol with hce pistol, by ur argument, we shud make the whispered truth a loadout too
