One solution for split community

343 should just release MCC on PC with actual dedicated servers and forge. Possibly support for more detailed scripting in forge so the community can evolve the game the way we want.

It would be a HUGE win for the core audience, and 343 would look like heroes. Something they’re not used to right now.

This would remove a LOT of focus that’s on the changes being made in Halo 5 right now.

I doubt Microsoft would allow that, but MCC with full modding support on PC would definitely be amazing.

There is already a solution, the people who don’t like change have TMCC to play with, people who welcome change have TMCC and Halo 5 to play with.

MCC is broken. Feel free to step away from ignorance and just go look at the MMC forums to see endless threads about the many game-breaking issues that still exist.

Im having a hard time to believe you guys even own TMCC. Im playing it consistently, my XBL friends are playing it consistently. The “TMCC is broken” hasn’t been a valid argument since mid december.

Microsoft owns windows too lol. They just need to release it in a way that would benefit them even if that means creating their own steam or origin, I feel like microsoft in general would be a able to do that pretty well

It’s a good thing I don’t need you to believe me! I won’t overlook issues in the game to blindly support 343.

For the sake of being sporting these are the issues I face most.

  • I’m a fan of objective games, but a VAST majority of games in the hopper are BR slayer. I was promised the same Halo 2 multiplayer from 10 years ago. Where are my objective games?
  • If you could view my past games on MCC you would see that there have been very few where 8 people start a game and 8 people finish. People quit because of a lack of rankings. Even though full 4v4 parties are quite rare unless playing the gamesets that actually have a population.
  • It’s common for me to be shoved back into the lobby right after connecting to other players.
  • It takes forever to find games.
  • I almost never get games on dedicated servers. Lag is insane on P2P connections.
  • Hit registration in H2C is a joke.
  • Still a pretty common bug in H2 where spawn timer gets stuck at 4 seconds.
  • Halo 3 forge is crippled.

It’s still a bug-riddled game. Everyone is just waiting for ranks so they could play one full game without having someone quit.

And then nobody would buy Xbox One’s ever again. Seriously, give up on PC ports. It isn’t happening.

I guess we should all give up on successful Halo release too by that logic. Thanks, everyone can leave the forums now. CoD from now on!

Seriously, MCC is too broken to sell Xbones, so I’m going to stand by the fact that putting it on PC would appease the masses.

1- I love objectives too, we have the HCS playlist for them, plus they always come up on map selection. More modes to be added of course, but the game is still young and has lots of room to grow.

2- Really? so these people don’t realize the playlist they’re on is unranked until they get into a match, therefore the leave? not a chance, i hear them on the mics, they quit because its not the map they wanted, or they get a beating and rage off.
3- There are still glitches in the game, nothing that keeps you from playing it though.

4- It takes a couple of minutes, and if you still can’t get a match back out and choose a different playlist.

5- Halo 1 to 4 have been consistently on dedicated servers, Anniversary is the only one that isnt, the only one with lag.

6- agreed

7-agreed, although its not very common

8- not really an excuse not to play the game, Halo 3 forge was pretty lame anyway.
