One simple easy improvement that would make this game a million times better

Who could’ve guessed. Common sense in the face of a terrible argument.

OR. They just do what Apex Legends does. Each week like 15 challenges open up to do and never go away until the season ends. Every week more and more challenges pile up so that if you join late, you can hyperspeed to the end of the battle pass since you have a ton of challenges available. Also this would mean that you wouldnt just have 4 challenges active at a time, instead ALL of the challenges would be active at once (Similar to how MCC is)

Actually, 343i does have the right to pick that, I mean, it’s their game technically. This battle pass is suppose to last six months now remember.

I choose to have fun the entire time while still being pretty effectively finishing all 100 levels without touching the challenges in a little over a months time. So I’d say it can be very efficient to clear and ignoring challenges all together. I’d say it’s pretty efficent to clear it in about 1/5th of the time, playing matches I enjoy playing and ignoring challenges altogether. I even ignored the first couple events complete.

Not really, I kind of proved that it doesn’t by completing it and barely touching the challenges in a little less more then a month like I mentioned earlier. My proof isi n the link below:

There’s plenty of really bad issues with this games correct. But this point specifically I feel is people just complaining because they want to complain and nothing more. There’s cosmetics in other Halo games that took months to years to obtain due to how time consuming they were to complete and obtain.

Bungie used to put out super vague hints towards how to get gear in previous games. Halo 3 had one where you had to jump through rings for instance on level, the one where you go after the Profit of truth in a very specific order to get a skull, which was required to get Hayabusa armor for starters. That was the only way to get that too, there was no alternative ways to get it that I remember.

This has to be the strangest defence I’ve seen.

Of course 343 has the right. It is their game. They are the IP holders and the producers of the game. They can do whatever they want with it within the bounds of the law, which are generally pretty generous.

I also have the right to call those bad decisions and not play the game because I find their decisions ruin the fun of the game.

Halo rewards in the past didn’t quire too much jumping through hoops, and had even more generous time frames.

There also wasnt the money component. You bought the game, you then played to get its unlocks by mostly playing the game.

Infinite wants you to jump through hoops, often inconvenient hoops which they sell the ability to possible improve or skip.

First off, have you played Halo 3 and know how to get the IWHBYD Skull. You littlerally have to jump through rings to get it, it was required to get some Hayabusa armor, and it took years to figure out how to do it originally Lol. I forget which piece it took to unlock it, the head or the body piece that had the sword accessory I believe?

But it’s only really jumping through hoops, if you choose to do it that way. I choose other wise and did it just fine and efficiently. All of course while playing the matches I wanted to play. =]

Also, outside of buying the battle pass, you can actually do the battle pass without spending any more money. So I could see a complaint about buying the pass sure, but not one concerning spending money and completing it. You could technically state you spent money to buy all the previous games too, but I think that just complicates things a bit too much.

I’m just saying I finished the battle pass quite effectively, while only choosing to have “fun” matches the entire time. I put very minimal time in, as I only spent an a little over an hour each day, and completed the battle pass without bothing challenges in 1/5th of the time it took me to complete it. This should be something anyone could do too.

If anything, you’re just choosing to take your time with it though, not 343i. They could maybe make it faster, but that’s unfortunately their choice, all we can do is ask occasional and see if they respond in our favor. But with all the things that are an issue in this game, this is really hardly a big deal in the long run.

I’d much prefer them focus on something like Lag, letting people choose server region and hopefully down the line custom server browser instead.

This is the way. . …

That’s kinda my stance now, except I don’t even feel fun from playing Infinite. It just doesn’t feel welcoming, and I’ve been playing Halo for years.

You know what I mean? It feels like a loved one was replaced like an alien and it acts the same, eats the same, talks the same but doesn’t feel the same.

This doesn’t make sense to me. Online Halo is about competition. Of course I’ve seen every part of every map and memorized it and the equivalent callouts. Its what I use to win? Also what are you doing in Elden Ring for 120 hours to NOT see 90% or more of the game? Other than a few ending you cant get on the same playthrough thats more than enough time to search ever nook n cranny. I currently have 83 hours of multiplayer time.

You clearly don’t explore the game, then.

Regardless, my point is that the game is horrendously stale, so why would anyone feel compelled to waste their time doing something as MONOTONOUS as play Halo Infinite? A $60 campaign that you can 100% in 20 hours filled with an empty lifeless open world? Or a multiplayer with the same content that it launched with? Adding two maps isn’t revolutionary. Adding new armor to the store isn’t fulfilling. Refusing to “add” content that was in past Halo games at launch is not a good business practice.

If Halo 3-reach had no forge and custom games, they would’ve died much earlier, believe it or not. Most people didn’t spend their time playing the arena game-modes. They spent their time playing BTB, custom games, or forge.

The base gameplay means VERY LITTLE for how compelling your game is. I’d like you to try and argue how I’m wrong. Wasn’t the claim “Halo Infinite’s base gameplay is rock solid” thrown around so much and still is? Then why is the playerbase so horrendous? People need new content to play a game continuously. This is a fact. Halo infinite refuses to implement new content in any form that players can utilize other than armor. Which hardly counts.

The fact that a casual player has so little content to ultilize in a game that they end up memorizing every map the game has to offer, that’s an issue.

Memorizing and understanding extremely complex play strategies is not a casual player goal. That’s what ranked players and HSC players do.

When there’s so little content in the game, that that’s the byproduct of playing the game, even a MINISCULE amount of time, then the game is lacking. Halo 3-Reach didn’t have this issue. They consistently added new maps and had forge maps implemented to keep it varied. Not to mention there was always something to do other than competitive multiplayer.

cough forge and custom games cough.

Since you like the idea of playing the same content over and over again to the degree of memorization, why don’t most people just play the campaign over and over again just like how the few thousand players left playing Halo Infinite do in the multiplayer? Oh yeah, because that’s boring. Most people find doing the same task over and over again to be extremely boring.

I mean I get where youre coming from but at the same time the campaign isnt competitive? You say it like every shooter game doesnt have the same issue. Yes there are casual players but even of a new map drop happens, plenty players will have the map and spawns memorized in days? Thats a byproduct of competitive play and has been the same with all other Halos, CODs, Battlefields, CS, Valorant ect. Literally every game. They are struggling right now. I will continue to support them though because even though this content is lacking im still having fun and I genuinely believe it will be fantastic down the road.

You seem to disregard the idea that all those other games have consistent new maps, heroes (in the case of valorant), and tons of different ways to tackle the game. Halo Infinite simply has none of those. It’s a really drawn out boring game right now. There hasn’t been anything new in months. And what we got months ago was hardly fulfilling.
