Hello!
In the run-up to July’s reveal there has been a lot of talk about the possibility of the campaign taking a God of War style One-Shot camera approach:
I’m just wondering what the community’s opinion of this is, and how we think it will influence the co-op campaign (ie. Whether or not we will have multiple characters to play as like halo 3 and 5)?
I, for one, definitely enjoyed this about halo 5’s campaign - regardless of its other failings, and would like to see it return (and 343i have said it would in the past) but I’m unsure how this would be possible with a One-Shot style - it that is indeed how things do work out.
Just a rumour though so take it with a pinch of salt!
Well the Discover Hope trailer was all one shot (well, it had a couple of hidden cuts and one actual cut) but it was in keeping with the one shot style. I personally think the cinematography in that trailer was fantastic and would love to see it continue through the game.
It’s just a stylistic choice, and I don’t really get how you think it’ll effect co-op campaign. If there are multiple characters in a scene the camera will just go wider or pan between them.
I don’t think it’s going to be legit one shot, rather just very minimal like the discover hope trailer. I think there was like two cuts in there.
Yeah dont get me wrong DarcVader1337 - I love the style of the trailer and am excited about the prospect of that making it into the full game:
I just feel it following Cheif that way doesn’t really lend itself to a team following him around each level of the campaign. Again just speculation though
To be honest, I’ll be happy regardless of what we get

thats most likely because there is no team following (in the H5 sense) and really here should not be. H5 had the worst AI system when it came to companions. idk how, but they felt dumber then H1 marines
