All those noobs who will go near the flag but not want to actually help win the game will pick it up with out meaning to and then since they can’t drop the flag they will have to try and score the flag or kill themselves by jumping off a cliff off the map. And from what we have seen from Halo 4 and other Halo games most maps don’t have something like that near the flag spawn.

- They will learn real fast to not pick it up.
- If they kill themselves, they will respawn longer AND lose points for a suicide.
- All that means for me is getting into a better position to help my teammates when things get heated or drive a vehicle over to help them when they grab the flag.
- Helps make a person aware of what they are doing.
4 reasons it should stay.
While it has both positives and negatives, the positives outweigh the negatives by far.
+Promotes Teamwork
+Fast-Paced Gameplay
+Immersion
-No giving to others
I will just avoid the flag by a large margin and turn every CTF game into limitless slayer.

Ruffgonjaing the flag =/= increased team work
0-0 stalemates
How the hell is a highly trained, physically augmented super soldier being unable to drop a 20lb flag “more immersive”?

It doesn’t promote teamwork. The fact that you’re playing CTF most likely means you’re looking for some kind of teamwork. It just promotes less people picking up the flag. If you’re at an enemy base with a power weapon with a teammate and you’re trying to hold off an enemy and you walk into the flag by accident, you’re screwed.
Next, all I hear is people talk about fast paced gameplay like its the greatest thing in the world. Not being able to drop the flag doesn’t speed up the game any more that being able to does.
And what kind of immersion does not being able to drop a flag give you? “Oh man, not being able to drop this flag because my hand is some how fused to it is REALLY immersive!”

That’s actually 2 reasons it shouldn’t stay, 1 thing that means that you weren’t helpful at all in CTF before the change, and 1 way every person should be no matter what game type.
I’m pretty sure that this will just get less and less people to pick up the flag, or just less people picking up power weapons. And niether of those two are good things.
I don’t mind not being able to drop the flag… though I prefer being able to control that. Automatically picking up the flag is just nuts though. I am morbidly fascinated to see how CTF actually goes on launch, I can imagine it self-destructing spectacularly.
Just imagine the same rules applied to a vehicle; If you go near a Warthog you automatically get in and can’t get out. The whole thing doesn’t make sense.

It’s gonna be a deal breaker for a lot of people. I don’t even know why it was such a big deal that they had to make it undroppable. “Gee, these people can drop flags when ever they want, BETTER REMOVE IT.” I mean it’s not changing the game at all by keeping dropping in. It’s hurting it and keeping people away from TO. It’s even worse that it’s auto pick up.

Noobs will accidently walk onto the flag and it’s a auto pick up. Noobs don’t usually think about how long it takes to respawn. And if a noob is stuck with a flag then they will have to score it or get themselves killed by walking into enemy’s. And are you argueing against me or with me I can’t tell.
