Ravine seems a bit depressing. I mean, it’s like there’s no sky.
Halo: Reach’s Forge World looks amazingly beautiful. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary made every map beautiful. Halo 4 had the sense of realism I’d pray for and beauty in the right spots, except Ravine seems a bit gloomy.
I love everything else about Halo 4 and can’t wait to get it this Tuesday, but Forge World had a sort of feel that just made people playing community games feel great. Otherwise, forgers would use special FX to give their maps certain feels.
Ravine just seems a bit dull by default. Graphics are amazing, but skybox puts me down.
So i can assume Impact and Erosion were satisfying maps to Forge on? Your criticisms of Ravine are constructive no doubt but i would hear of your opinions on the other two Forge Maps.

There are like three different forge maps, having one that is dark is how we get our forge mode variety. If you don’t like the dark map, go load up a more festive setting.
I love how Forge is in Halo 4 , except that the maps look small compared to Halo Reach’s Forge World , but I guess it’s still cool cause at least we have different Forge Pallets , 3 different places and no more grey(kinda).

I love both Impact and Erosion. Impact seeming like an underground memory trip to Halo 2’s Waterworks. I’m completely in love with Erosion, “dat space map”. But all I suggested was something like Halo: Reach’s Forge World for that positive, happy feel when playing select custom games. If they had some sorta day/night/weather setting for Forge in Halo 4, it’d be absolutely fantastic.
When playing a game (like someone’s Super Mario remake in Halo: Reach), I like that beautiful background and scenery to go along with the experience. If 343i were to include more Forge maps in future DLC, I’m absolutely positive that players and Forgers alike would rejoice, as it’s been a raised suggestion on Waypoint’s forums many times before.
But, though I love Ravine, I wish there were a map more similar to Forge World in Halo: Reach to fill that gap.

Before i go on, Erosion isn’t the space map; that’s Impact. Erosion is the underground one ^.^ I noticed i slept in Corrosion in my last post =.- I’ll have to change that.
I would like more Forge- centric maps like Sandbox and Foundry (not as in the same design but concept) for future maps to spice the MM experience whenever Forged maps are added to the game.
I can’t really wait to play on all three maps but i find Impact and Erosion to be my favorite as well. I do want to know if the objects (at least some) differ from each map?
