I made two maps on Forge Island so far, one on the small island, and the other inside the medium island. I placed spawns on both of them, but get this: the one inside the medium island doesn’t work in custom games. It did in Forge, though. I tried twice, only to spawn on an island both times. None of the spawns had any gametype label.
I theorize that this spawning error is related to being inside the island. Does anyone else mind sharing their verdict?
(If anyone wants to take a look, the map is entitled “Relocated” in my File Share. The gametypes listed will be the ones I plan to have it support.)

Considering the OP glitched inside the island, I don’t see why it would work.

People generally don’t glitch into the rocks on forge. There is no obligation from any company to make their products work outside of the boundaries they have set.

Totally agree man. How could 343i make Forge Island not work properly inside a glitched area. They should have made sure that glitches work correctly.

if you have the money, put spawns outside and teleporters for the various spawns. this would be easier on a ffa map, but it’s still do-able on a team based map. it would also have the downside of being extremely random.
Try using the inside of the large island. It worked for my Slender’s Island map, and all of my friends LOVE it.

Really? You can glitch out of other Forge maps and build there? I wasn’t aware of that! Good to know that you’re not just looking for any little excuse to attack 343!

Only thing I don’t understand is why the spawns work perfectly in Forge, but not in custom games 
The crooked oblong shape is kind of annoying as well.

Not really, you aren’t supposed to Forge inside the Island, it’s a glitch and people should have expected that spawning inside a rock might not be possible,

There are only a few people complaining. I wasn’t, though: I was just asking about the root of the problem.
It’s free. Stop complaining about something that was free. Give 343i some time, it was just released if you think for a second.
