Why does a common armor and a legendary armor look very similar, strange seems a bit Lazy. I have noticed this with other armors such as aviator ace and aviator delta however these are the same rarity. I understand why they make some duplicate armors, to force you to open up silvers first. I am pretty sure there might be other armors like this
Some of the armors are like that because certain helmets that were carried over from Halo 4 were helmets-only, and because of that, reuse other armor components. Why 343 didn’t design new armors just for them, we’ll never know, but it’s likely just because 343 can be lazy as -Yoink-.
It’s so they can get the most money with the least amount of effort. Why design a completely new armour when they can just give it a different ugly skin and then get people to spend money on REQ packs to get it?

Without a doubt, if 343 wanted something to do that would help out then port ALL the previous armors over and there you go, they would waste the so call talent on useless non-practical armor that makes no sense to be placed into a Halo game and on top of that they can place in their horrible designs in as well and call it a day.

Halo Reach had 30 helmets and 1 chest piece and you’re criticising 343 for 3 standalone helmets?
The customisation is dumbed down as in reach we could customise our chest piece, left and right shoulders, knee pads, wrist, utility, firefight voice (team chatter work well with this, if this feature was in halo 5), armour effect and visor colours. - More than half of the armours and helmets are -Yoink- helmets and -Yoink- helmets with a line going down the middle. And the fact that the req system is completely random makes this even worse. Look at helmets like seeker. The Seeker helmet was once presented at a meeting and it got the go ahead. The only way a helmet as disgraceful and horrible as the seeker helmet is when someone just says -Yoink- it. And the fact that there are so many -Yoink- helmets in the req system it makes the helmets and armour that we actually want much harder.
That has been a criticism you could level at any of the previous Halo games, Really. Does halo 3 Recon look all that different from scout? Or Rogue from Mark VI? To the random -Yoink!- looking at the game in a mere glance before moving on, not really. That being said, Halo 3’s armors were instantly recognizable to just about anyone who played the game often enough, and often you understood what the player who has a certain armor went through to get it; this is in part because there were significantly fewer armors, which by default meant that they meant more than armors in later games, which have an issue of pure oversaturation; there’s SO MANY that it’s hard to keep track of them all, and it doesn’t help that half of them are reskins
I have noticed this. Locus and Aviator are the same body, but different legs. Not much to justify the ‘Legendary’ status.
What annoys me the most is the types of Legendary armour. Take Warmaster for example. There are 2 Legendary variants of this armour (right at the end of the list) and they don’t really look any different.
There should be more exclusive armour like Void Dancer that is only unlocked in Legendary - not rubbish skins for armour you can get at Uncommon or Rare.
