One of my forge friends makes a good point about collision

I’m confused, can anyone tell me or give a good reason why collision was removed. Or is this just another example of “lets change it so we can call it a new feature even though it wasn’t broken”…just like the rest of Infinite

It is a big deal but it won’t “kill forge” this forge is supposed to be almost its own engine people will Get creative

It will hurt forge maps though. Like, if you want to make cooperative maps where you had to jump on someone’s head to reach a ledge, good luck with that now. Yeah, I’m sure it’ll still be nice, but lack of collision does limit some options. I think it does more harm than good.

There is nothing good about the lack of collision.

You have that backwards. It caters towards the casuals and even a lot of them don’t want it. I don’t hear any pro players saying they don’t want collision or even higher skill players. The majority of them if not all, WANT player collision!!

Not having player collision in this game was one of the stupidest things that they did. It changes so many things strategy-wise. Little things you wouldn’t even think of until you go back and play the other halos that had player collision and then you really notice it.

It needs to be put back in ASAP!

So because you don’t like it and you’re competitive, you speak for the entire competitive community? Like you said, casual gamemodes NEED player collision.

No, it doesn’t. Almost all of the people I know are casuals and hate the exclusion of collision and almost every person I have seen on the forums hates the no collision

Maybe it doesn’t cater to competitive players, but it definitely doesn’t cater to the casuals

I have PILES of casual Halo player friends, and I’d say at least half of them could care less if it’s in or not or don’t see it as a big deal. The other half wanted back in so they can do silly things like standing on each other’s heads.

Of my competitive friends, which I have quite a few, not a single person doesn’t want player collision in. They ALL want it in. In fact, you’re the first person I’ve heard say that the competitive crowd doesn’t want player collision in and it was removed because of them.

That’s like saying most of your casual friends could care less that the coating system is the way it is and then say," It caters to the casuals!!"

I have not seen a single casual player say they are glad that collision isn’t in the game and I’m willing to bet that you haven’t either.

Name one competitive person that like no collison

In a stream thread, I saw 2 people saying that it makes Ranked a lot better

I can almost ganretee you these two are new to the franchise. It’s impossible not to see the glaring problems it causes.

All the double negatives in this thread got me like…

Huuuh? Are you trying to say the same thing?

The lack of collision causes so many problems. There is nothing good about it.

That way I know where you stand on the issue.

Yes, it will certainly ruin a lot of custom games that we all know and love, but it will open up opportunities for new games that wouldn’t be possible with collision on.

Also, just so it’s clear where I stand:

Have it be on for most modes, have it be off for some that need it off.
