Sticky Grenades at spawn.
It was mistake. There is no alternative. When I used to play H4, I would have Sticky Grenades in all my loadouts. They’re fun to use and they dominate. But that’s the problem. During firefights, they don’t just barely beat out Frag Grenades or Pulse Grenades, like I said, they dominate and by quite a leap from the others.
But where they truly brake the flow of the game, is when they come in contact with a vehicle. Single-handedly, they can overpower any vehicle with near ease. Whether it’s a Mongoose or a Scorpion. Vehicles have become irrelevant now. Back in H3, if you were walking along and you came in contact with a Warthog and it locked onto you, you had to struggle to survive. Now you just toss 2-3 Plasma Grenades and you can move on. It shouldn’t be like that.
Plasma Grenades available in loadouts were simply just a foolish idea. So please 343, if you were smart, you would not make the same mistake twice. No more bull, make me want to buy your next game. And next time, fancy looking graphics won’t fool me. Spend as much time into gameplay as you do polishing your games.
I’d say make you spawn with one
> I’d say make you spawn with one
This should have been the case from the start. Without any perks, you spawn with ONE Pulse Grenade which for some unknown reason. Sticky grenades should be the one getting this sort of treatment.
If I was allowed to change it, I’d increase the Pulse Grenade count to 2x and reduce Sticky Grenades to 1x.
Obvious if you are using the perk which allows you to hold an extra grenade then 3 Pulse Grenades & 2 Sticky Grenades.
In my opinion it depends on the user of the sticky grenades, when it comes to pre-nading frag grenades take away nearly all of your armour and health, stickys don’t you have to actually stick them. I get killed from frags way more than stickys. But yes I do agree with the vehicles and that maybe you should only get one per spawn.
They should make stickys pick up like in the previous Halos. Handing all of the weapons to players was the worse mistake 343 did.
I think treating it like the Promethean grenade would work (1 by default and 2 with grenadier). But I really don’t see how that can become the biggest problem in the game.
Plasma grenades should be the main fix in the next update after weapon tuning.
The load outs haven’t been touched since launch.
I think 343 did a tremendous job on plasma grenades. Nothing should change! Vehicle dominated maps make the game a bore and 343 has created an opportunity to even out the playing field.
Me being one to like his Sunday day drive around in the warthog, it has became very hard to stay alive for more than to runs around the map because of getting stuck.
I think that 343 should just go back to the way it was in halo 3 were there was no spawning with the blue vehicle killers.
> I think 343 did a tremendous job on plasma grenades. Nothing should change! Vehicle dominated maps make the game a bore and 343 has created an opportunity to even out the playing field.
There is no even playing field, plasma grenades and plasma pistols ruined vehicle combat.
The 35% damage buff to the Warthog & Mantis chainguns is a start and Slayer Pro for Big Team Infinity Slayer was also a huge improvement but overall, vehicle combat is near non-existent in Infinity.
A good question is what’s ruining vehicle combat more? Plasma grenades or the plasma pistol?
I think the PP is the bigger problem for vehicles.
It’s hard to get a stick without dyeing on a moving vehicle.
If it were just the PP they’d just jack you.

The PP is definitely the bigger issue, but combining it with plasma grenades is just deadly.

Pulse grenades may not be the strongest but they have the ability to block off a certain pathway as running through it while activated will deplete shields. They can cause choke points, personally, I prefer only having 1 without the perk.
I do agree that you should only spawn with 1 sticky.

But then what would infantry units use to combat vehicles? Run across the whole map without getting nailed by a Gauss that probes the map to obtain a Laser only to attempt to position a strike?
If you want straight up Vehicle vs. Vehicle combat then make a specific map.
If you look at the kill ratio from Chaingunner to Infantry, the gunner usually has a higher victory in that sense! And if that isn’t enough, the Wheelman perk reduces the effects of both plasma pistol and grenades…

The same thing they did in prior Halo games, Plasma Pistol & Plasma Grenade pickups on the map or control the anti-vehicle weapons suck as a Laser, Rocket Launcher or in Halo 3’s case, a Missle Pod.
Obviously Halo 4 has no weapons on any of the maps in Big Team Infinity Slayer (for whatever reason) so this isn’t exactly possible.
Wheelman for sure reduces the effects, but it still slows the vehicle down long enough for multiple players to get multiple sticky grenades on the vehicle.
We shouldn’t have to have a specific map for vehicle vs vehicle combat, the great thing about Halo is that you can have some of your team in the air, some of your team in vehicles and some of your team on the ground all at the same time, but in Halo 4 this rarely happens due to how powerful the Plasma Pistol & Plasma Grenade combination is.

Precisely.
I take it this is your first halo or you just flat out didn’t learn the spawns on precious halos. There wasn’t any need to even out the playing field you have lasers stickies rockets snipers concussion rifles railguns etc. to pick up off the map just because you weren’t good enough to get them doesn’t mean it should be handed to you. That’s like video game welfare.

Nice edit
There is nothing stopping from from loading up Forge and adding multiple weapons to the maps, I don’t believe they’ve ever explained why they refused to put weapons on the map either.
All i ever played in Reach was invasion, so i am used to one team spawning with stickies.

I suppose they feel as if it’s out-of-date. Guess you could say it’s mainstream to have loadouts in a game. And I guess the days are long gone when Halo was actually original.
