One new map acceptable?

Is one new arena map enough?
I dont think so …
We were expecting atleast 3…

I know there is also a new btb map but they ruined that game mode so ive only searched it 3 or 4 times

Why do you keep failing 343

They cant even add more playlista

Absolutely not.
And the fact the assets have been pulled from campaign to make the map… even more so lazy.

Took the text right off my screen.

Personally? No. But the quality of the map matters more. Catalyst could either be Guardian 2.0 or Behemoth 2.0, for all we know.

If a map is good enough, it’ll be all people want to play. I could play Haven/Mercy all day and not get sick of it. Bazaar? Bah.

Best thing we’ll get is a super brightly colors 3 laned COD style map without any atmospheric effects and atleast 5 glitch spots that won’t be patched for months

There’s like a 75% chance I won’t be playing at all for Season 2. I already played about 1000 matches. Tossing a couple maps and modes into Quick Play will NOT appeal to 99% of the below 80,000 players left. I don’t play Halo Infinite to spend money and grind horrible challenges on maps and modes I don’t want to play. I’ll go back to MCC with everyone else. 5 new maps might be acceptable. If you aren’t buying the season 2 battle pass, there’s literally no reason to play. There’s still no progression system.

This.
Depends on the quality of the map.

Imo, the problem people have with the maps isn’t the quantity (it is average for a Halo game) it is the quality.
They are all the same, 3 lane maps with basically zero verticality.

2 BTB and 2 arena would’ve been more fair

No. One map being thrown into the stale Arena map rotation is far from enough and not acceptable…not that we have a choice in accepting it or not. No doubt it will raise interest for a couple weeks but then it will just become part and parcel of the stale and boring game that we’ve been playing for months.

They’re also just restrictive. The grapple is wasted on bazaar. Bunch of invisible walls and ceilings. If this were Reach it would just be a soft kill barrier of like 10 seconds.

Also I kinda wish they went the halo 4 route.

H4 had 10 maps at launch, 4 area, 6 BTB, but 2 of those 6 BTB maps (Ragnarok and Complex) were more tuned for 5v5/6v6 play. So those 2 could also show up in 4v4 as just slightly larger maps. Specifically Complex.

Infinite’s move to 12v12 makes this sort of crossing over pretty much impossible. Behemoth is huge, but even it would work with 12v12.

We need Halo Infinite: Custom Edition. Give us the tools to make our own maps. The original Halo Custom Edition from 2004 was way more powerful than Forge ever could be. It wasn’t accessable like Forge, but you could do a lot if you had the know how.

The maps people created rivaled those from Bungie. In fact many were outright better. And you know how fast people made maps? I checked the halomaps website every day for new releases.

If the community are allowed to make maps it would embarrass 343 because we would makes maps much faster than them with the same or better quality. No budget, teams of one.

We still dont have all the game modes to even fully utilize forge

If there’s only 1 new map I’m not reinstalling

2 if you play both btb and arena

Going off your title.

Apparently 343 and 343 groupies think so :joy::man_facepalming:

You’re joking right?

In game assets that exist already are perfect to help build a map when you have to build scenery and create obstacles to block lines of sight. Sure you have to still mix it with new content to keep things interesting; but it saves both time and cost of development.

(Caution - Facetious satire ahead)
But if you are complaining about recycling content from the Campaign mode for use as multiplayer arenas, then you are going to HATE hearing what Bungie did with Halo Reach. You know, the whole bit of having most of the multiplayer maps roster - both PvP and Firefight - be made up of locations that you explore and fight during the campaign? And don’t get me started on the maps roster in Halo 3 ODST.
(NOTICE - End of facetious satire)

Point is, yes, they are only giving us a little bit of content. But honestly I would argue that is a good thing.

I mean, would you rather most of the dev team NOT be focusing on creating the patch code to fix many of the bugs that players have been complaining about? Because that is what 343 claims to be doing so that when Season 2 launches, it also has a wave of optimization and bug fixes to come with it.

It is either we get a couple of new maps with plenty of much needed fixes or we get a lot of maps and a still broken game.

Had we gotten the latter, we would have a thread titled :

"343 added 6 new maps. Too bad we can’t play them because they didn’t bother to fix their broken game :rage: "

And that’s the double-edge sword that 343 wields named “Halo Infinite”. It doesn’t matter what they do. If they add content and maps, everyone is frustrated because the game is laggy, bugs everywhere, etc. But if they fix the bugs first, no one is happy because the game is still dry and boring.

tl;dr
We can either have Halo: Infinite Bugs or we can have a buttery smooth Boredom Simulator.
