So I can burn up all my amazing reqs that I have pointlessly hoarded over the last 10 months.
This game is not fun for me anymore. Honestly, I’m surprised I played so much and stuck around as long as I did. Halo 5 had some interesting ideas, but overall, it is just not a good game, and it doesn’t feel like Halo. And I am the oldest of the old school.
Warzone, the feature I most enjoyed and invested almost all of my halo 5 time in, is now complete garbage.
When you play Warzone, you get one of the following three games:
- You play a full or mostly full team with your team of incompetent scrubs. You get farmed for about 15 minutes and have a miserable time.
- You play a game with all players on both teams zerging one point the entire game. No coordination, no strategy, Just spawn, cash req, sprint to spire/monument/garage/fortress, blow-up and die. You can’t even think. It’s just a chaotic mess. This is the majority of the games now. Adding to the chaos is the boss refresh, so you are almost guaranteed to be under fire from spawn to death, by players or AI.
- You get a reasonably competent team, and the scrubs are on the other team. You easily overwhelm them. You either farm them or core them. This scenario is rare, but it comes up once in awhile.
That’s it. Those fun, close games where it is a battle of strategy, req timing, and team coordination are gone. I have no idea what happened. Maybe it’s the steady exodus of good players. Sorry 343, not buying that the population is still “growing” without concrete proof. I match the same individuals very frequently in warzone. The community is not that large.
It is really frusturating that the Warzone playlist has steadily declined over the last 6 months. While Noctus is a solid map, Darkstar is bad, and Sanctum is absolutely horrid. The boss refresh, while a good idea on paper, was over the top and obnoxious. I’m not sure how keeping a balance between PvE and PvP became so difficult, especially with the release of WZFF.
It is really a pity this game has gotten stale. I put a lot of time in hoping improvements would continue, however there has been little substance to the last few updates, and now it seems like Halo 5 is being left to die off. All the heck I ever hear about now is Halo Wars 2. Move along sheeple, we got everything we wanted out of you on Halo 5, move on to the next and spend that money!
Just quit. You obviously aren’t enjoying this game and no-one here is going to try to persuade you to keep playing it. Quit, take a break; do whatever you need to do. I suggest coming back when Warzone Turbo returns.
I don’t understand how WarZone Turbo fixes these complaints. If anything it excascerbates them IMO.

I wish they would go back to weekly and daily challenges instead of weekly and daily Gamemodes. There really isn’t that much to do in this game. 343 add in actionsack and all these gametypes you keep adding put them in there. Fiesta should be there. Add in perminant Gamemodes. If you have an idea of s Gamemode put it in actionsack for a bit. If no one likes the gamomde in action sack we will complain about the Gamemode simple as that. We need a perminant team snipers map, classic h3 slayer idea with no sprint or abilities for those kids who don’t want sprint. My idea for you 343 is reorganize the arena menu. When people click multiplayer they will get different categories/tabs like halo reach did. One will say halo 5 the other will say classic. In classic there will be everything classic. You can add gametypes to work like gametypes in the other maps. All those maps people remade of older maps could be put in there to save you time. Now warzone keep the gametypes as well. Now for halo 5 category have all the current Gamemodes. But add team snipers and action sack. Team snipers you could use maps people made. I’ve seen maps that were remakes of blood gulch. Those were all my ideas. But this guy here is right stop taking away Gamemodes from us. We bought the game to enjoy what we paid for. I didn’t buy game for a Gamemode to be taken away from me every week and then be featured for a day then be gone. Pls stop it 343. If you keep that up you definately won’t survive fall of 2016. The game has cool Gamemodes but I can only play them in customs which is doumb. I want my action sack

I totally agree with you! All the “Halo” hype was a waste of time. Hunt the truth was just a paybait from 343I to the Halo fans. When they got us on the hook they showed up free DLC in our faces and explouded out “phenomenal” REQ packs that needed too much REQ points to get so you just “had” to buy those packs because of the false “Halo” hype they gave us. Now the game is fast and plays well, said every newcomer and fast FPS fans. Fck dat guys! Remove those trash spartan abilities and go back to the old school. Did Master Chief need the spartan abilities in CE? Nope I don’t think so. In Halo CE Master Chief was actually at his best. He almost said nothing, he was mysterious, dark and a strong character. So you say you enjoyed warzone the most (the most “Un-Halo” part of this game) while complaining that the game doesn’t feel Halo enough. Tad bit confused…
Arena is great, and feels like just about the most competitive iteration of Halo I can remember. Been around since CE. H2 will always be the best for me, but H5 feels like a Halo game plenty to me.

I never had so much fun playing off-line multiplayer except for maybe Counter Strike in the old internet cafes, but nothing beats old school Halo LAN play! I have all the controllers and profiles ready!

haha in college playing counter strike we would all gather around the best computer and we would all trade off for each death. The person playing would have to wear this ski mask with holes in it and like 6-8 guys would all be cheering each kill…haha it was so much fun.
