Campaign, Matchmaking, Firefight, Custom Game, Forge, Theater. How about; Campaign, Matchmaking, Firefight, Bot Match, Custom Game, Forge, Theater. Timeslitters had it: Click here Nightfire had it: Click here
The only reason i can see for Halo not having a bot match is the use of vehicles in matchmaking which might be hard to code but it can be done in campaign by enemies and allies so it shouldn’t be too difficult.
Reasons to include a Bot match game mode;
- Those who don’t have xbox live can enjoy fighting Spartan enemies whih can’t be experienced anywhere other than LAN matches and xbox live. - There is a niche for this because in firefight you are forced into fighting the Covenant. Elites can obviously be chosen to fight against but the plethora of vehicles we get from mathmaking such as land and air is something we can’t yet achieve from Firefight. - From classic Bot match experiences like Timesplitters and Nightfire, they let you choose lots of different options which changes up gameplay, in this case we could have the possibilty of choosing all of the current firefight options we currently have for enemies in Firefight. - We could play on multiplayer maps rather than Firefight maps which let the player get better and practise for xbox live and could possibly promote xbox live to current users of xbox who don’t have it.

what would be the point? Timesplitters was played before everyone and their mother had high speed internet. IMO, bots are just inferior to playing real people, too easy.

To practise possibly before you play online.
To get the feel for online play without the competetiveness of matchmaking.
For those who want to play matchmaking with a different feel, for example changing settings rather than playing an action sack like gametype and hoping you get what you want.
> How about bigger Matchmaking teams, Big team should be 10 vs 10 or more.
It can only have 16 players at the moment, well that’s what it says when you go into Games > halo 4 and it says xbox live: 2-16 players on this website.
I agree! This should have been done long ago. Only if the A.I. are smart enough though. The last thing I want is the opposite team trying to melee me when I cleary have a sword or shotgun.
No, this shouldn’t be a new game mode. It should be more like an option in CG. A new game mode has to be innovative and at least fun. (Campaign, CG, MM, Forge, Theater, etc.)
> COD fanboys will claim it has copied combat training in Black Ops.
So what? They copied theatre off of us. Plus BOT games have been around waaayy before COD, All James Bond games from the gamecube and N64, Perfect Dark, Unreal tournament all had BOT gamemodes.

> Blops copied theater, B.net, and file shares. I think one thing similar to CoD that CoD didn’t even invent will not cause a riot from them.
CoD copied Bnet, AND has the nerve to charge people for the right. It makes me sick.
I really doubt bots could work in a game mode like that. Maybe as guards or something similar but I don’t think it can be easily achieved at all due to the nature of Halo’s complexity.

I’m no programmer but complexity like vehicle driving and picking up weapons can be achieved in campaign so i would hope it could be implemented in a Bot match game mode.
