One Last "What We Want in Forge 3.0" Post

I’m sure there have been tons of “I want this in Forge 3.0!” and “Why can’t we have this!?!” kind of posts in this forum, but I just want to have one last thread that we can all refer back to. So post what you want, even if it’s a repeat. The more repeats there are, the higher it will go up on the list below. I’ll try my best to keep up with everything, but just keep it short and sweet so I can get through it quickly. Thanks!

more color options for items less grey and more blue or purple or red or green or any other collor besides grey.

No more budget. Instead use the item count (the max amount of items allowed on a map) as the new “budget”, and of course make it visible.

by spawn setting I believe you should be able to have a smart system that can generate flat surfaced or within certain distances of cover spawn point within a set perameter, minimizing the time wasted with placing spawns and setting spawns. Simply choose the team, set points that will construct the parameter in which the points can either be placed within or outside of and blam! respawn points

Personally, I love the spawn system (let’s call it the SSS, or Smart Spawn System). I have made a few maps, and constantly placing spawn points, changing the team, and doing the same thing over again is way to much work for a lazy Halo nerd like me. Second, I put down your Firefight Forge idea and put my vote on it too. I know that everyone, and I mean everyone, has been asking for this and I would love to see it in Halo 4.

Lets have the 2 other basic shapes Cylinders, & Trianglular just like the square building blocks below. I think this would be real easy to implement to forge 3.0.
Then I seen this below
-Larger choice of human, Covenant, and Forerunner architecture. Then thought how about skin options for the blocks also with the 3 skins being mentioned above. Could tie it into the block settings have a skin setting.

The ability to “mirror” an item. Reason being that asymmetrical parts can have a mirrored version of itself to be placed in forge, such as for symmetrical maps. The curved ramps in the incline section of structures would be good examples of what can benefit from this.

Has anyone thought about the idea of designing your own ships and being able to have a space map where you can have several smaller ships for things such as Free-for-all or medium sized ships for team slayer , or 2 Big ships for Big team slayer. or even just have it where its UNSC vs Covi or whatever is next.

Now i do like the fact of having a bigger forge world, more blocks , more lights , no budget, differnt biome areas, more vehicles ( past present and future halo vehicles ). They deffently need to bring back more guns.
For multiplayer in General they need to bring back the Elite armor customizations.
They need more building types. and BE ABLE TO LOWER WEAPONS, cause think of those who do youtube series, mabey they want to be able to surpass the guys at RoosterTeeth or whoever does a good job at that stuff.
There is alot more i could say but i think its basicly covered above and sometime ahead in these next posts.

I agree with adding a forge map we can get lost in with the size and structure. I also think a main thing to add is more vehicles like the pelicans and dropships and also different varients of vehicles like passenger warthog, transport falcon with extra seats… ect.

Hey something i know that MANY MANY MANY MANY people agree with and have asked for including people as prestigious as Burnie Burns from Rooster Teeth is an UNDO function in forge… even just one level of undo.

I’d rather have the reverse. Have a working budget and no item limit like Far Cry did. The current system punishes you for using smaller items. (E.G for using 1X1 blocks you use 25 more item count for the same space than you would with a 5X5)

All the other ideas sound great, but something I’m rather passionate about is customizable water level; having a different water level in different areas. We need new water physics! I want to make waterfalls, streams, alpine lakes, and how am I supposed to build a sinking Titanic if there’s only 1 water level? The water level inside would be the same as the outside, and it would make no sense. This is even a crippling weakness in Far Cry 2’s map editor. Also, I want the ability to change the complete color of objects… so I can build the black hull of the ship, the white upper decks, and the orange and black funnels. Kthnxbai.
