Not saying its right but think its based on points not kills so the team with most kills can lose if they get less medals than team least kills!!!
Or something like that!!

Well I was going to check for suicides to see if they killed themselves enough to counter how they had more kills, but 343s stat section is the WORST. How you can have a stat section worse than EVERY Halo statistic website, bungie or 3rd party, is beyond my comprehension.

It is a non so common bug that, when Host change occur, the match is fully restarted. In the stats the kills that were previously awared are still showed but they didn’t count over the total kills of the “Restarted match”.

That, or suicides.

The individual scores add up to:

Red Team: 1535
Blue Team: 1630

Red Team WINS!

Hrm… anybody know how slayer scoring “works” in Halo 4?

You get points for lots of things and that all goes towards your Ordnance drops. Only kills go towards progressing the game score and they are only worth 10 points no matter what.

That’s what I thought, so 107 kills should have reach 1000 points first…

I have found there is a 2 second spot from winning kill to victory screen. I have seen it a few times that a warthog is plowing through a group or a wraith gets a few kils at that time.
I have won a game 105 kills to 87 kills. My scorpion killed the whole team for the win.
I am betting that Ted actually got the final kill but someone or something caused a ton of kills at that moment. Bet the whole game was 99-99 with a few seconds left.
Does it need fixed, yes. Is it broken, no. Seems reasonable when you have games that allow you to still run around getting points after the game has ended. I have seen it with afew games that end matches the same way.

If it was 99-99, one team would have to kill the entire other team to make it 107-99 while the dead team killed one player and won 100-107.

The data doesn’t support it. At least 5 players on the red team were alive at the end.

Vehicle destroys count as kills in the post-game stat screen.

So I’m assuming that’s why.

OP,

Scores in this game are decided by the abilities of players to perform well under given environments. I noticed you played a BTB match. This means each team who performs well enough to get multi-kills, etc. are the key factors. I’d need to see the game film in order to determine for myself if any player had committed suicide, among other things, but the simple truth is a level of difficulty is present in rewarding those who manage to pull additional feats, not just the kill or assist.

Hang on. I’ve only played a little of BTB, but doesn’t the scoring system award points for kills and assists? In other words, if Team A is working “like a team” and multiple people are getting assists with most kills, whereas Team B is “lone wolfing” and getting very few assists per kill, doesn’t that mean Team A could potentially make more points with fewer kills?

Makes sense to me.

And there’s also that.

Well at least this is generating a decent list of bugs for 343 to tackle in an upcoming monthly TU:

Vehicle destroys count as kills
Host migration loses count of score
Score keeps counting after winning kill
Waypoint stats not on-par with B.net

Also maybe explain whacky scoring system better in future “weekly” update… I think the next one is January 9th?

Both teams had exactly 47 assists, so that shouldn’t tip the scale to make 100 beat 107.

Anybody have a link to how Slayer scoring is supposed to work in 343’s Halo world?

> Also maybe explain whacky scoring system better in future “weekly” update… I think the next one is January 9th?

In terms of the actual match’s scoring, only things that actually prompt a score count on your screen (“Kill +10”, “Assist +5”, “Distraction +5”, etc) are counted. These are based on earnable Medals, but not every medal earned is counted.

At least, I think that’s how it works.

Red Team had 100 kills
Blue Team had 101 deaths

Looks like there might have been one suicide on blue team…

107 should beat 100
106 should beat 100

It was confirmed before game release that the points you get for multikills, assists, vehicle destroys, assassinations etc. do not count to team score. It’s just the kills, and so you need 100 kills for the win whether or not you get 100 assits as well.

Then why does it clearly show “+5” (that pops up in big white letters) for assists and distractions?

Blue Team: 218 medals
Red Team: 206 medals

Blue team earned more medals
Blue team got more kills
Blue team and red team had same number of assists

Red team wins!

This is fun, anybody else have a theory? I’m shocked that nobody can point to an official scoring system and win the thread.

Is this game not out yet?

Oh I forgot, total of scores on each team:

Blue Team: 1630
Red Team: 1535

Red team wins:

Becasue that goes towards your ordnance drop meter.
