One bug you probably didn't know about forge

I love forging and I especially got into it in halo reach. But on Halo 4 I have noticed a bug for quite a while that not a lot of people are aware of. This is probably because not everyone can see. You get this bug when you save a map (not just your own) and load the map up. You will then find that every item has rotated by about 2 to 2.5 degrees rotation.

Like I said this doesn’t happen to everyone, but to anyone it does happen to it does it to every map you load up in forge. Now 2.5 degrees may not sound like a lot, but when your trying to build a decent map it can be quite off putting.

I don’t know why this glitch is occurring or how and why it is also selective, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, because I’m not enjoying this little glitch.

Does it happen every time you try loading maps.
Or is it every once in a while? Is it fixed if you try reloading the map or does it stay the same.
How often does it happen?
Can you recreate the occurence it and make it happen all the time?

weird, have not had it happen to me.

My friend has had this happen to him all the time! it seems to happen every time you edit something from the map and then boom everything is rotated by 1. hard to make things smooth when they always move when you decide to edit a map

Ive just done a little more testing and it turns out it only happens when I forge a map with friends. Which is a downside seeing as im creating a map with someone else. Il try to see if I can get round this somehow,

When I tried to remake octagon I noticed that every object I spawned was 1 degree off the straight position. A bit fail really how they ship the game and they didnt even see that.

PM this to BS Angel, glitches are important.

Are you sure? My friend says hes had this happen with him alone. But maybe it is the case. But yes this needs to be addressed and 343 needs to be aware of it.

Anyone who can capture video of this should also post a video to BS Angel showing exactly what the bug is.

*Oops this wasn’t supposed to be a double post sorry :frowning:

Well I think you can load a map normally either when you save it alone and load it alone or as long as you save it when the angels aren’t spazzed out.

I was going to say this. A friend of mine was building a map and he asked me to look over it. Next time he looked at the map he was complaining everything had moved and weapons had not spawned. He was all the more upset to discover my save was fine. strange…

Okay I just found a way to get round it. If the person who sees the bug leaves the game. The person who sees everything normally should then save the game, end it and upload it to his file share. The person who sees the bug then downloads this and the map should look normal. The person can then invite the people who initially saw it normal to the game and there should be no problem.

This is what I did and it seemed to work. From now on I think the best thing for me and other people to do is to load up the map first and then invite friends. Hope this works for everyone having this problem.

Its extremely noticable to those who pay a lot of attention to detail and who like their maps extremely clean rather than those sloppy maps where every thing is phasing through everything and uneven. I’ve tried making several maps and these glitches has put me off, and make it difficult to work sometimes
