On This New.. Game.. And Other Implications

So, I guess this means no Halo 2 Anniversary? Next year will be the 10 year anniversary for Halo 2, and two concurrent Halo games would be kind of weird.

Also, it’s only been 2 years since Halo 4, isn’t that a little soon, seeing as most new Halo titles take 3-4 years? Unless they’ve been at work on this game a lot longer than expected, and concept art and story writing (and maybe even some development) began far before Halo 4 was being polished, then it seems to be too soon for the next full Halo title to be released.

What is your opinion?

I believe work on Halo 5 did begin before Halo 4 dropped, so there’s that.

As for H2A… I’m seriously grateful they’re not making one. Surefire way to kill the meaning of CEA, that’s for sure.

Well, I figured that. Work on Halo 4 began a ways back too, most AAA video games have similar development life cycles, this still just seems too soon. Then again, there could have been other companies that worked on Halo 5 with 343, and 343i was busy with other things besides Halo 4 during the time it was being built. It just seems soon, but if they can ship out an awesome experience like we’ve always expected that’s almost bug-free even sooner, I’m not complaining.

And I kind of agreed at first, but all this talk about it got me excited, and I even thought 343i confirmed it.

Hopefully there’s still a possibility of a Halo 2 Anniversary.
