On the topic of weapon tuning.

Before the last patch launched, 343 boasted about how they could make weapon changes at any time, without the need of an entirely new title update. This was great news, and it’s fantastic what 343 can do, but was it just a one-and-done thing?
343’s weapon balancing is good now, but there are still a few issues that I feel should be sorted out. For one, the Battle Rifle still bests the Carbine in nearly every situation, and still has spread. One complaint that stands out to me, and does not make much sense to me was the SAW buff. The weapon is a straight upgrade to the AR, offering everything the Assault Rifle does, but more.

These and other issues have gone unaddressed for months. I was excited about knowing that 343 could modify weapons on a whim, but it just seems like a bit of a missed opportunity.

The SAW was a useless weapon to begin with. It doesn’t really fill any necessary role. That’s its real problem.

I don’t see anything wrong with the BR. The Carbine’s advantage over the BR is that, since it fires faster, a missed shot doesn’t mean as much.
