Halo CEA is great, I know a lot of people are saying that reticle bloom is stupid in the anniversary playlists, but after having the chance to play halo ce on my original xbox this weekend it occured to me that there was bullet spread in CE and anyone that complains about it never played enough halo to know that the anniversary playlist is actually a perfect re-creation of CE (as perfect as can be in the reach engine) the only thing I disliked is that lack of the glitches but I know that can’t be done in the Reach engine
keep up the good work
what people mean is that the spread in reach-CE is worse then it in the origional, though the spread appears to be the same when firing at a blank wall but when you are shooting at someone it gets worse then what it appears to be.
i’ve also noticed witch reach’s bloom that spamming teammates is more effective then spamming an enemy which leads me to suspect that a red reticule actually pushes bullets away when bloomed though i can’t say for sure.
It is not a perfect recreation. Spread is a better system than bloom.

spread and bloom are the same, bloom is just a visualized version of spread.
ALMOST perfect recreation, just jump and health are not ok.
And about it, if you dont hold your trigger your shots will always be perfect, bloom is inexistant, just a visual interpretation

Bloom allows players to manipulate the effects to a greater degree. This, as it turns out, is a bad thing. More so with default and 85% bloom reach.

you could manipulate it in previous halo’s as well just people didn’t realize this.
the main problem with bloom in reach is that the reticule as a whole increases instead of having a 2 layer system where 1 is fixed and the other expands with a max size as the other reticule in causing it not the amplify the effects of aim assist as it currently does.
spread is the bullets spreading out the faster you fire your gun so for this to work it would have to have a cool down period to go from spread to no spread, fire during the cool down causes it to spread again, this is how it works and with reach the reticule expands to give you an idea of how accurate your gun currently is instead of trying to predict it in previous halo’s.
oh yes, the spread in reach is also bigger because of the expanding reticule, now if it didn’t expand and used the 2 layers system i mentioned then it probably would have worked ALOT better.
