I think March would be reasonable. That’s a 3 month buffer.
I think at this point it is very unlikely that they will release Season 2 this month. I would expect to wait for it until May, although they might realize how huge of a mistake it is and try to release it early, in April or something.
Until then we all just have to sit around and think about why these kind of greedy “F2P” models are bad for everyone but Bill Gates
Season 2 is currently targeting May based on the last information 343 provided.
They can’t even fix BTB in a timely manner. I highly doubt they’ll be able to release Season 2 early and have the new content function correctly.

I’m not a kid, and what I was explaining was that May is far. It could be done next month.
With what? 1 new gamemode, 1 new map, and a few BP levels? That is so stupid, I’d rather wait and have a huge update with loads of content.
Besides, we’re getting an update in Feb, so hopefully we get some more content (INFEECTIIIION)

Gotta say I agree with GusTank. While May might be far (about 3 months at this point cause February is pretty much around the corner), I think it’s better to let them take their time with releasing content (though I know this is much to many people’s dismay.)
If we ask them to release it in March or April, at most we’ll get is S2, maybe one new map, maybe one new game mode.
If we wait till May, we may get a bunch of fixes for things we didn’t expect on top of perhaps 2 (maybe 3) new maps and possibly some more game modes. Plus we’ll be getting co-op and maybe Forge.
All in speculation, and they can do what they want, but it definitely seems like they’re gonna wait till May.

As much as I’d like to clear the queue for season 3 to be the next to deploy it wouldn’t be a good idea. We’ll just see more bugs, and missing features. 343i should take their time to make sure everything is done right.
Why do you think season one is so long?
Answer: Because the game is unfinished and they’re not even close to being ready for season 2

I really over estimated how fast itd be with exp boosts. Honestly hope they remove exp boosts for more armor in season 2
