On Launch Day, War Games vs Campaign

I think the first thing I will do on Launch Day will be to hop on to War Games, I want to unlock stuff like the DMR and the BR. I’ll probably play 1-2 Campaign missions on Launch as well, but I really want to try out the multiplayer. So what will you be doing first on Launch day?

I plan on doing a campaign play-through first thing.

Since Slayer Pro is the only salvageable playlist that bothered 343 (must have been painful to support us) giving us until MLG, War Games wins by a wide margin. Cooperative experiences are simply not that fun compared to trying your balls off and proving you’re self to friends and the world (because what everyone thinks of you is incredibly important.)

I am skipping out of the boring Campaign though. I didn’t even bother touching in CE since the MP is the most important part of the game.

I will probably play campaign first.

I might hop onto War Games after completing one or two missions…but I may wait until I finish the campaign.

Like most people, Campaign.

Two Campaign playthroughs, one on heroic and legendary. Then SpOps and finally War Games.

Campaign first and always for about the entire month of November.

I’m kind of surprised at how many of you are playing campaign first, I thought it would be about half and half. I think they’ve marketing multiplayer more so I guess I’m just hooked on.

Eh, I’m going to finish the campaign first.

Then, with Halo 5 I will start with a single game of multiplayer.

I like this pattern.

With Reach the first thing I did was play a game of Multiplayer, Team Slayer on Powerhouse. I won!

Campaign on Normal, as per usual.

Well most Halo fans are going straight to campaign becuase after all, the story and mystery is the reason why we fell in love with Halo in the first place. I dont understand why people would skip the campaign in favor of the multiplayer, but yet it doesnt surprise me. But Halo’s multiplayer is story based, so lets see how that turns out.

Heroic Campaign, then Heroic Spops, and then MP.

A single-nonestop campaign playthrough. One of my friends who won an MLG tournament got his copy one week early as the ‘grand prize’. He jumped in to do a speedrun first thing on Legendary solo. Took him almost 7 hours, skipping all the cutscenes.

Thankfully, he spoiled nothing for me.

The backstory is tacked on and isn’t a viable reason to play War Games first. It’s to prove you’re self against other players and complain about how Halo 4 sucks amongst your friends is the main draw of War Games. After all, if we didn’t bash 343/Halo 4 and complain while showing our obvious but overlooked knowledge of shooter theory, then we wouldn’t be competitive players with egos the size of Mount Everest.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Ill play Multiplayer first. Campaigns are always awesome but ill generally play it as and when i feel tired of MP or no one else is online.

Im not waiting 8-10 hours worth of campaign before jumping online:D

Though i might play the first level as itll probably be awesome and cinematic and get my blood pumping for MP

Going to play campaign at midnight until I finish it.
Play the first week of Spartan Ops when I wake up.
and then play War Games until the next game.

On my main account I am not touching multiplayer until my campaign legendary solo run is done. I want to roll in as a SR 1 with the best armor.

I’ll play multiplayer on my second account while I complete the campaign.

I’ll probably beat the Campaign first before I touch the multiplayer. Like I do for every Halo game.

Campaign first as always, then forge to scout through all weapons and vehicles that I may not have gotten a good feel for yet. Also to run through each map at least once so that when I do jump into multiplayer I’m not running around in circles looking lost as balls lol
