I do not get to play that much anymore. Now when I go to play a game on multiplayer it’s borderline unplayable. Lagging and glitches terribly. Did they just stop supporting this game?
They haven’t stopped supporting it yet and I’ve not experienced servers lagging yet, just minor lag spikes.
A quick look at the News section would show they haven’t stopped supporting it. There’s a major (Warzone) glitch that’s going to be patched up in the next update thankfully. I haven’t been on the receiving end of it yet, but I’ve seen videos of it and it’s pretty nasty.

Ummm…no, Halo 5 has proven time and time again to be an incredibly unstable mess of a game, from broken dedicated servers to Rockets firing blanks to Forge canvas maps not even being fully textured. No it’s most definitely on 343’s/H5’s end. It’s actually incredible how people can deny how broken a game Halo 5 is, even now. Either that or they genuinely don’t know, either way it’s pretty abysmall for 343’s standing when it comes to actually releasing games. My point is, don’t expect Halo 6 or any other 343 Halo title to be any less buggy than MCC or Halo 5, because odds are they’re gonna continue to cut corners to meet absurd deadlines rather than postpone the launch giving us yet another sub-par title, so just be careful when you consider purchasing their games.

Lag is most commonly due to high ping/latency. This can be due to your physical distance from the server. If it takes longer for your signal to reach the server than the other players (or vice versa) it can affect your performance compared to other players.
Other things can’t result in lag, but having high up/down speeds and reinstalling your game and such probably aren’t going to help much.

What provider are you with? I haven’t had any issues regarding lag in Halo 5, its usually my other games that lag and drop in frames. Halo 5 works fine for me.

FIOS is Verizon. Which doesn’t always play well with Xbox Live.

I have Verizon Fios. It is pretty dam good. I have had like zero internet problems with it in all the years I have had it. The glitches used to be seldom now they are almost every game. I guess I will just try to reset the router and the Xbox again.

Sure, the servers aren’t that great but it’s also on the player’s end as well. I rarely experience lag and when I do it’s because of my internet being slow or the servers are having issues.

I believe its an Xbox issue rather than a 343/server issue. Clearing out the Xbox of unused apps and games helps.

Not always. I was playing with some friends last night in another state and we would see the same person lagging and hit an fps drop at the same time. Its rare for either to happen but it does.

That’s on his/her end… Not sure about the FPS drop though
The only time the game lagged for me was if I was downloading a lot of things while playing.
