On Halo 4's "Rocky" Start...

I keep hearing about how Halo 4 is off to a bad start, 343 is screwing up, they should add stuff, fix stuff, etc. For people who’ve been with the franchise for a while now, I have a question: Is Halo 4 unique in this aspect, or did all or most of the other games (or most great games, for that matter) need a bit of updating by the developers to get to the “perfect” point they are praised for at this point?

Legitimate question, this isn’t one of those “Stop complaining!” threads. Halo 4 is the first game I’ve followed so closely pre-launch, I wasn’t really “there”, so to speak, when Halo 2, 3, and Reach launched, so I wouldn’t know as well as some.

So basically, is Halo 4 unique in the amount of complaining it has gotten post-launch for some of its issues, or is it little different from previous Halos? I see accusations of it being “half-baked” or “unfinished”, but were the previous “classic” Halos everyone idolizes any different, in that an update or two (as will certainly occur in Halo 4) fixed them up fine?

I can’t wait for Halo 5, everything wrong with 4 will be fixed and more will be added hopefully, that’s the best possible scenario. Halo 4 is just a learning stage, the real fun will be with 5 and 6. 4 is a -Yoink- of different ideas from 204857489384 people without strong direction yes, but it’s still a good game. If things don’t improve though with 5, definitely not buying 6. I’m only gonna let the love for a franchise steal so much money from me.

Nope this is how it works specifically when Devs Change, Look at DMC the community has gone Ballistic. But in regards to Halo look at ODST it is seen as the unwanted Child.
