On female bodies in Infinite; Flight 2

So, from the last preview it was obvious many were unsatisfied with the available options ability to present as female.

I’m here to say, Option 1 looks to be edited and more clearly female/feminine. So, happy days.

Some people mentioned there were no feminine Spartan voices, is that still the same?

You mean Body Option 1? Option 2 looks like the slimmer Halo 3 Spartans. 1 Is clearly more feminine and 0 is a chunk.

Explain what part of the body should be more feminine? They are wearing armor so I am unsure what you are referring too.

Option 0 is dad bod.

I meant 1. Sorry, editing now.

We can’t edit our voices at all.

I’m imagining people just want them to have big breasts and butts

Not should be, is. Smaller waist, wider hips, smaller arms/shoulders.

Well, you can’t see the former behind a chest plate and the latter isn’t that important but women who squat have big butts so eh, hardly unrealistic. But not necessary either.

I know i do ;), but in all seriousness, they will just add a skinny spartan frame and call it “female”

You can model the chest plate to show the figure though, which they do in H5. I’m just saying though when I see it brought up on having female Spartans look more female, I tend to think people want them more sexualized than actually feminine. I get them looking thinner at the waist and such, or having less broad shoulders but I’d make a lot of arguments that they’re gonna look more “manly” given their augmentation and muscle mass. Even in the books you really can’t distinguish them as female unless they speak or have their helmet off and personally I just prefer it that way.

I think the female Spartan model is a bit twisted because of Kat being a bit of a runt.

They clearly moving away with it and back to the Spartans being tanks regardless of gender. Pretty clear from the gal who runs the Infinity training program, her name slips my mind.

I get what you’re saying. I think they made Spartans appearance more feminine in Reach because fans were kind of disapointed with having a female voice in 3 being the only way to distinguish them from the males.

Do you think Kat or Palmer were too sexualized? I kinda like the way they looked in those games but I’m just curious what others think about it.

Dat bootay!!

I really don’t like how 343i seem to be acting like gender don’t exist. We get different types of physiques for male and female in the real world for bulky or slender people but I’m getting the impression that it feels like it’s trying to ignore woman as Spartans. I’d rather see more variation and a toggle between genders because this is confusing since it makes it look like Infinite is focused on male only Spartans and I find it weird that I can’t look around the character model with a rotation/zoom to see how my character model looks in Body/AI settings since it’s hard enough seeing if the designs look right. I kind of feel like I have to jump through several different menu’s just to see if Spartan looks right.

Even if you choose 343’s pathetic excuse for a feminine body, it’s still a male voice.

Females have -Yoink-, it’s not a big deal honestly. Taking away the female body type limits the accessibility and diversity of the game. As a girl myself, I don’t want to be playing and looking like a man.

Spartans are extremely muscular, which means larger than average glutes. That’s reality and stripping that from the game is pretty sad. They had no problem doing it in 5, I want to be a female in a game I play, not a slightly smaller male with a male voice.

They are in armor and practically wouldn’t have many if any signs of a female body. I imagine the suits are made for efficiency more than looking a specific way
