I just switched to Cutter from Ander and let me say WOW!!! My record vs high level anders has IMPROVED since i switched to Cutter. My Anders which has 1500 games played vs my Cutter with only 50, so Im excited with how good im doin with so little exp. I find covie a lil harder but I think Cutter is stronger vs cov. Im just playing like an anders and need to get used to Cutter vs COV.
I cant believe more people dont play Cutter. I even see more forges then cutters. To me Cutter always has the advantage over Anders and esp. Forge. I havent found any map Anders is OP on.

I was also considering to switch to Cutter or Forge from Anders. I think Anders is too difficult me to handle. I think Forge is the easiest UNSC leader to learn.
P.S. I checked your stats GFORCE6999. I think you should check some basic tutorials and vids (you can find the links from this forum) before you can benefit from Wild Arms FX detailed build orders. Have fun with Halo Wars!

I went 3-1 vs proom 2-0 vs lazyfrog, the only Anders who beat me 1-1 was xfactor. I played mp7575 and went 3-0 also.

A random Japanese guy who plays mostly 3v3 unarranged.

Release and tundra i get gunner, mac their expo, and go 2 reactors, tanks
One of the games vs Proom on release took an hour and we built over 250 units. He turtled at is base after i got tank lead. So i took all 3 expos and it took another 45 minutes/175 units to win the game. He had gremlins\cobras fully upgraded with PT, it took forever to break his line. Finally quad mac with ODST and fully started Spartan PT tanks (from releasing the flood on myself). He didnt build Spartans, which i thought was a big mistake because he would of had 3 spartan cobras with stars.
He was 15 and I was 16 on leaderboards so the game was real intense. He did not want to lose or resign with a slight chance of losing. He tried everything.

I played his prophet and went 4-0. But he played really well. One game he totalled had won on release and we base traded. I managed to keep a base alive while he couldnt. He def had unit lead though.

what if anders doesnt expand early, harrasses with hogs and goes gremlins+tanks ?

Gremlins really arent a threat I feel esp if anders is single based. Turrets \ double pump usually solves the problem. Its vital for cutter to get his expo though while preventing anders from getting hers. Gremlins dont do as much on offense as defense. So I like to prevent the expo then take the defensive advantage, then pushing after i absorb their attack.
I find Gremlins are easily countered and havnt experienced a problem vs them yet.
Also the cani grem glitch usually helps wins the battle. If you canister then get stunned it will not act as if you canni’d and you will recieve a second canister. I find using canister for tanks then focus fire on gremlins work great.

i switched mainly to just change it up but i am like cutter more and more. im mid 30’s now but only have played less than 20 games (and keep losing to covi on blood river lol)
few questions for Wild Arms…
how do you win your early hog battles vs anders on nonhook maps like tundra/release? anders can get hogs and gunner faster so what is the plan? i usually hide and hope they attack me or point scout them and attack them when trying to expand. id like to you know what you do it?
in another thread you mentioned going elephant first on bloodgulch/river/chasms vs UNSC. how do you defend against hogs and contol the map without having your own hogs? chasms is easy but idk about the two blood maps

im looking at the gamestats and it looks like you made an elephant and a barracks? did you go elephant 1st? tell me about the game lol

Wild Arms FX is one of the very best players in Halo Wars 1v1s (TS 42 does not match to his skill level at all). He has some unique strategies which are working against high-level players. He really likes to talk and explain everything in detail.
He also teaches you the matchups and what to do by playing. In 1v1s he tells you when and what to build against him. He also explains why. It all makes sense if you pay attention and think about it. O.o
