Omega Team

Are we ever going to fix this or does no one care there is no viable option to kill these Spartans. Even if you go all snipers the crash on top of you with a stun and there Y ability kills them all. Vehicles and air can’t touch them either. Am I alone on this?

In all fairness they are the result of an ultimate ability and they are most expensive units in the game. They should be damn good.

I would not be in favor of nerfing them at all.

Yes, and who builds snipers anymore?

Omega Team takes up 30 population. A similar population of anti-infantry units (spread out) deals with Omega Team quite well. Large amounts of air also works very well.

Not to mention, Omega Team doesn’t do that much damage. Sure, the stuns are awesome. But, Omega Team tickles buildings, can’t do much to vehicles (beside jack them), struggles heavily against large amounts of air, and they even struggle against larger amounts of infantry.

I’ve mained Jerome for this season and last, and Omega Team isn’t the unstoppable force you’re making it out to be.

From seeing you comment on other threads; no, I would not like to play customs with you, so you can attempt to prove me wrong.

Also, the Warlord is much, much more difficult to kill off than Omega Team.

I can’t believe I failed to mention this in my comment.

Omega Team is an ultimate and a damn expensive one, at that. They should be good units.

Omega Team is fine, if anything they could use a slight buff for how much they cost. If your opponent goes with heavy vehicles, they’ll get jacked. But if you’re playing Jerome you just pack some anti infantry, hornets/banshees, and light vehicles to handle them.

I always lose late game against Jerome.

What does that mean? Well it means that after you deal with 36 pop the enemy will instantly replace it with Omega Team and wreck house.

Right, but its similar to using a leader power like CAS or Eradication in the middle of a fight to weaken your opponents army. Omega Team also costs 2k resources and 2k power, which makes them more expensive then any other leader power.

Eradication is just about the most useless leader power in competitive play. It gives a 6-7 second warning to move.

They cost 2000/2000 and they’re an ultimate ability. They’re fine not everything needs nerfing.

I Find you are very alone on this issue Jerome is very balanced at the moment!

Actually those 3 leader powers are not even comparable, all 3 of them are very different in their mechanics.

For the record. I’m undecided on whether OT is OP or not, I mean it’s worth quite a lot of money, though the new curve might make them more available.

Omega team can take out 80 pop of snipers if they are clumped. But your 30 pop or 7-8 spread out snipers will take them out? Just know even if you spread out 8 snipers 4 will die instantly from the drop and 3 Y abilities. Omega team does bad base damage? Who cares if they don’t do base damage if they kill half your army by their selves. And they do more base damage then your snipers. As for air 7 hornets vs omega team they jack 3 off gate.

I have faced plenty of players while using Omega Team. I’ve beat a lot of people with Omega Team, but I’ve lost just as many times with them. I’m sure you’ll attribute this to me being a poor player (you seem to love doing that). For clarification, I have seen you call many other people poor players on here. I’m not saying you’ve called me a poor player.

You’re making it sound like one is going to engage Omega Team with just snipers or Hornets. Any competent player is going to prepare for the imminent Omega Team drop (man, love that noise when they come down), and [hopefully] have a sizeable force by the time Omega Team is dropped into battle. Once Omega Team burns their Slams, they’re easy pickings. Additinally, if they do jack a vehicle, they’re completely defensless while doing so. Spartans are super easy to kill while hijacking.

Omega Team is no where close as strong as you’re making them out to me.

Gonna get to this one before you try to pull it on me. I’ve played a slew of excellent Jerome players. And not once, have they beat me solely because they used Omega Team. Nor, have I ever beat someone solely because of Omega Team. Sometimes it’s more beneficial to have dedicated counter units then Omega Team in an army comp; they can actually be a hinderamce at times, with their high population cost.

I’m sure you’ll still disagree with me [and everyone else] after this, and that’s okay. You’re allowed your opinion on the matter. But, I, and most others, feel that Omega Team is fine. If anything, Omega Team could benefit from a reduction in its power cost.

u are alone on this. omega team is a perfect counter to forges grizzly drop. And they are not unkillable.

They work extremely well with his upgraded stats power ups. 7 units to win the game.

No I’m really not since metaloid agrees there is no viable way to kill omega team. He says cyclops and nightingales are the best option but still isn’t viable. Truth is there is no arrangement of units under 30 that can deal with omega team.

I love when ppl comment but don’t understand what they are commenting on. The snipers and air was not brought up by me. Wanna change my mind then tell me a 30 pop unit composition that will kill them just to save you time. No infantry will work no vehicles and no air will work either. Remember choose units all leaders can use. Save you more time this unit Comp doesn’t exist.
