> Hornet
> I believe it was confirmed to be making a return. I doubt it will have rockets like before(or at least weaker ones) because of how OP it was in matchmaking
Good. I wouldn’t mind if they reduced the power of the rockets.I just think it was a better counter to the banshee than the falcon for the simple fact that the falcon was weak, defenceless and slow. Where the hornet was Strong, defend-able, and slow. also a little bit smaller. but less manuverable
> Missile pod.
> Not really needed in the sandbox anymore, however it was an interesting weapon to use. It more depends on its range and power(if halo 3 range then no. It was way too easy)
It was such a joy to use. although it did have some overpowered qualities. maybe the weapon this time around should be vehicle lock on only. but giving it more power than a rocket.
> Bubble shield.
> Will not be making a return. regular equipment is gone, And its AA successor the drop shield won’t be returning either. The reason to this is most likely to prevent impenetrable cover from all angles(not as bad as armor lock, but still slows gameplay considerably, even as the drop shield)
I know that the regular equipment is gone. I felt it didn’t slow anything down in halo 3 as people were less cowardly in that game as opposed to reach, so people would enter the bubbleshield doing CQB. As for reach nobody ever used it cause there were more OP AA’s out there or more convenient ones such as Sprint, which is now a regular ability.
> Brute shot (Halo 2)
> Don’t know about halo 2 per say but I would love the return of the brute shot. It was one of the most unique and symbolic weapons in halo, and was the perfect mid-tier weapon to grab when you couldn’t get the rocket or sniper. nice concussive abilities and great defensive anti-vehicle weapon(probably the only weapon that should send a warthog flying) Its successor, the concussion rifle, was much less aesthetically appealing than the brute shot, and was in no way intimidating.
Agreed.
> incendiary Grenade.
> Another fun thing to use, however the problem would once again be to find a way to balance it. They weren’t very balanced in halo 3, and as such weren’t generally in multiplayer. Fire is a tricky thing to balance afterall, and in most cases is either completely useless or overpowered to the max.
True I think they could at least reduce the amount and damage of the fire.
> As for I wan’t, I want the return of VIP for starters. Fun gametype that sadly didn’t make it into reach.
Strongly disliked that game.
> I hope there is an option to turn off pistols in CTF, so I can still play CTF with the flag firmly in 2 hands.
It would be nice to have that option although I like how they now can carry a pistol to give them some protection. and maybe with the addition of the pistol will get rid of the 1HK melee.
> An option for no fall damage in customs is a must. While fall damage may lead to more strategic gameplay and tighter maps, it doesn’t give way to many fun custom games. A lot of classic gametypes were near ruined when people could no longer fall from orbit and still be able to land without a scratch. keep it out of competitve multiplayer, but make an option.
Agreed it would make the game faster given the fact people wont have to hide waiting for shield regeneration.
> some form of ranking system. While I believe the 1-50 was much to broken to be used(in its current state at least), I believe that there should be some visible designation f skill available to players. It doesn’t have to be seen by all players, but as long as you can see your own rank, the game would be 100 times more competitive than a game without a ranking system.
Ranking has never been an issue to me.
> EDIT: The spectre as well. My all time favorite usable covenant vehicle, and a worthy adversary to the warthog(not at all like the disgrace of the halo 3 prowler)a semi-decent turret(not quite as strong as the warthog), boost feature, much more maneuverable than the warthog or the prowler, an encased driver chassey, and the 2 jumpseats on either side that allowed easy movement for large teams and additional firepower on all angles. It was the perfect light vehicle, and no other covenant vehicle has truely lived up to its reputation.
I never really gave that vehicle a chance, but when I did use it I felt useless. I would prefer to see something like the Brute Chopper to return.
