Old school red vs blue toggle

Occasionally there’ll be someone on my team that has the same colour as my enemy’s outline and on a quick glance, can be very disorientating.
SWAT and ranked can be a little bit difficult when this happens.

I’m hoping there could be a toggle in the setting brought in that allows teams to be the old school red vs blue again, or even other colours by your own choosing.

The option to choose your own colours for multiplayer games has been a nice self expression but can be a bit hazardous I’ve found.

I’ve had that a couple of times.

I use yellow and people are running around in that bright gold armour.

I quickly switch to green or light blue.

I agree that this should be an option or possibly mandatory in certain variants, I believe past halo’s if you created a spartan with different amour and colours you only got to see that in the “rumble pit” variant for that game, and if it was a team environment your colour automatically changed to red or blue… might be wrong though…

Also, with the leak of some of the forge content a while back showing the lightning and weather elements how does the enemy outline affect that. Meaning if some of the great forge content creators create a blizzard environment where visibility is reduced will the outline still work at normal distance negating the weather or lightning effect they have used?

Red teammates catch me off guard occasionally so I started using blue for a while. Figured it would have an equal effect on the enemy team. It worked more than you would think.

Didn’t they used to have to do a bunch of colour optimizations on maps because blue or red would blend in more with certain areas?
