Old school mode

I don’t know whether this is asked before, but i have a good idea for Halo 4.
I always thought that the best thing of Halo was the competitive multiplayer, you can see the difference between people of different skill levels even though they’re using the same weapons etc. .
I’m scared that there will be overpowered weapons for higher ranks and it’s too easy to do good in this game, so why not add a “old school mode” where the weapons are placed in the map and everyone begins with the same weapon just like in the past Halo games?

There’s already been a confirmed classic playlist. How “classic” this is is yet to be revealed.

It has already been confirmed there will be a classic playlist.

You can’t put power weapons in your loadouts. The primary weapons will be weapons like the DMR, BR, Assault Rifle, Carbine, Storm Rifle, etc. All basic rifles with different niches to fill.

In addition, each gametype and map will feature default loadouts based on the gametype and map in question.

And as has been said before, there will be a classic playlist, though why I do not know.

I’m glad to hear that, thanks for the replies!

If you’re ever in doubt, just ask a question.

P.S. People will want to know more about you. I suggest you introduce yourself in the Roll Call Forum

where has that been confirmed, apart from saying “classic options” (which could mean anything)

Yeah I’m not too sure where it was conirmed. But I believe it was confirmed by Frank O’Connor.

Besides, why wouldn’t they include it?

Well, we know how “classic” the Halo:CEA gameplay was, as far as multiplayer goes.

Can someone link me to where a classic playlist was confirmed?

All they’ve said is that there will be different ways to enjoy H4 MP, which means anything between heaven and earth.

^Ah yes, classic CE gameplay with a pistol that blooms…
