Ill be honest. I like Halo 5. I like sprint. I like all the new mobility options. Id be sad if they were taken away in favour of going back to Halo 3 style gameplay, but evidently, not as sad as some who wish the old school gameplay had remained. So i propose we do something to show that people still want an old school Halo game.
Get over your heart break and sadness over how the MCC was. There was another game with a terrible 2014 launch. It was BF4. Yet, after Hardline, people really wanted to show EA that they prefer the BF4 style of Battlefield, rather than Hardline. And now, BF4 sits in the top 10 played list, while Hardline goes to EA access after barely being out. Show 343 and Microsoft the same thing for Halo 6.
The MCC is still broken though, not to mention the uncertainty of which game you’ll actually be playing. With four games competing for space all at once, it might be a while before you get even one match of the game you wanted to play. The implementation was just so poor that it’s not worth playing. Not even out of spite.

Great thought, but player limitations and gametype restrictions become a problem at that point. Where do I go for exclusively Halo 3 BTB? Where do I go for exclusively CE 4v4?
No offence to anyone but I and my friends think halo 3 is the worst halo for story and multiplayer remember this is me and my friends opinion

My point is to pick one gametype and just play that. If enough people are on there, it shouldnt be a problem. Dedicated Servers use closest matching connections to prioritize on packet loss and MTU. Seeing as most, if not all people are here in NA, then connection to a dedicated server is not an issue. Pick Team Slayer, its the gametype with no Halo 4, and has all the classic Halos in it

MCC works fine. It definitely isn’t broken. I do agree they need more specific playlists and not just “Halo 3” or “Slayer”

Any reason in particular? It seems as if H3 had the longest and strongest player base as opposed to H4 for instance.
Probably the maps or the aiming I’m not sure I just don’t like it.

Doesnt matter what you pick. The point is, just everyone pick a game. Pick a date during the christmas holidays. Put it everywhere.
Twitter, TB, Facebook. Im sure Favyn and BDobbins would love this. Just play MCC that day. If the population rivals Halo 5 or something, then hell, 343 knows that people want OG Halo. Personally, I like sprint. But im not going to come create a forum post every month saying I need sprint in my Halo or else its dead and that why population is leaving and its trying to be the same as everything else and blah blah. I mean seriously, you guys seem to care so much, this thought should have entered your mind weeks ago.
Certainly an interesting idea. It wouldn’t be enough just on waypoint though. The idea would have to make the rounds on the Internet.

Like I said. TB would be very much in favour of this. So would BDobbins and Favyn. Both of whom have large followings on youtube, and the comment sections all echo whatever you want to say here. If you really wanted to do something, this would be organized by now. You still have a few weeks until people get busy with Christmas, but hell, anytime before the 24th or that middle section between New Years and Christmas should be more than enough to get one day going where people can get onto MCC.
I’ve started playing the MCC again, and will be playing reach when BC for it is out (would honestly kill for this game in 1080/60) I know I am arguing with you in the other thread about sprint but your opinions are well put and respectful so cheers dude!

Everyone loves the franchise, thats why we’re all here. Some people just know how to be respectful, some dont. I appreciate this kind of thing. Hopefully, this idea of a “playdate” will work, and people will get something proper out of it. Such as a full, remastered Halo 3, with full ranks, Forge, custom games, browser, file share, who knows. If MS thinks they’ll make money, they’ll do it

to each his own I thought Halo 3 mp was dreadful, go back to that and you will lose the majority of the population. Times have changed take the dang rose tinted Goggles off and play the game. Still cracks me up after the beta noone was complaining about the mp.

Look I just picked Halo 3 because it held the highest population. I mean, what do you find better. Halo 5 or Halo 3? Well if its Halo 3, then just go play MCC. My point is, this thread will die, this idea will go away, and in 1 month, someone will create another pointless sprint thread that turns into an old Halo vs new Halo argument. And people will always say “if an old-school Halo came out now, it’d keep population for years”. And then MS and 343 will look at MCC and say “What the -Yoink- are these kids smoking?” “Lets just make a Halo 6 with the new abilities, last one sold pretty well”
December 12th halo reach. No need to try to kill the halo 5 population. It’ll do it itself. Amd don’t get me wrong I do enjoy h5 but it went way to competitive. I either have to be 100% serious in arena or get destroyed. When reach finally comes out that’s going to be my main halo game.

Ok so do you think the best way to get Microsoft to change a new Halo game is to go back to Reach? Most of the people on here wouldnt agree with you.
This thread will die, just like this idea, and then everyone will continue on about how and old game will bring back the population. Well maybe, if you show MS it will, they’ll decide to fund one.
