I’m talking about MK IV guys. I’m a die hard Halo fan. I’ve been playing since CE came out and I could barely grip that massive controller. Since I got Halo 5 I have been grinding through the req system trying to get this helmet, but now I realize, so many people are using this helmet. This makes me not want to wear it. Having an awesome helmet when everyone e else is using the same one makes the awesomeness lose its luster. I now find myself wearing MK VI. Thoughts on the situation?

I wear it because it’s the best looking armor in all of Halo. Not because it’s rare.
I base my meaningless cosmetic decision on what I think looks cool, not on what other people are wearing.

I was rocking MK IV last week for about 3 days.
You know what makes awesomeness lose its luster? When an armor you can only get by gameplay gets more variants, and itself added to the req tables.
I understand how you feel. I’d rather use something that most people don’t because I want to stand out, even if people don’t notice.
I reckon that most people will switch over to Achilles whenever their companies complete the commendations, then you could wear MK IV and stand out.
You could be the farthest thing from mainstream and choose Seeker? JK, never do that. Wear whatever you want, and if there are a lot of people wearing the same thing as you, make yourself stand out; a good way to do so is be an excellent hog driver (something Halo 5 lacks).
Just wear what you want. Most other players won’t even notice.
I think not wearing something because so many others are is just as silly as wearing something because so many others are. In either scenario you’re letting other people make decisions for you.
I seem to notice Mark VI the most often, but who knows. The Mark IV is pretty popular (and one of my favorites as well), but not as common as the VI.
i stick with scout, helljumper, fotus (I paid for it, i’ll use it) and recon. Just my personal faves. I’m looking forward to shinobi though (naruto fan)
Probably doesnt help that pretty much all the armor made by 343 look like crap.

It’s not really a big deal, back in the H3 days TONS of people wore the Hayabusa armor, pretty soon a lot will be wearing the Achilles armor as well!
