old reach maps

before i go into a panic about the quality of halo, does anyone know for sure if we are getting a full reach multiplayer experience(likely 2nd disk, as in halo 2 and halo 3) in the remake or only 7 maps? no one ever brought up the question to 343, and i am worried about where halo is going with this.

I mean, the original game had more than 7 maps. I assume it is $40 because it has an old multiplayer and game engine(like odst) and old campaign, but do you get the old reach maps or not? this only concerns me because my reach disk no longer plays.

so, basically it comes with 7 maps, and if CEA is installed, you can use these maps on reach. Vice versa with the map usage is unconfirmed but likely.

Thank you for your input, and probably i will beat you on CEA. (sarcasm, do not get all upset over that last comment. some people do.)

I am all but certain we will only get the seven new maps. These maps will be on the same disc as the campaign.

You can, however, install Reach to your HDD and have access to them while using the CEA disc. You can use a similar process to access CEA maps while using the Reach disc.

thank goodness i installed reach, then

Halo CEA WILL NOT include the stock Halo: Reach maps. It also will only be on one disk and will all be launched from one main menu (Campaign, Reach Multiplayer, etc) And if you’re worried about where Halo is going, I tell you, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. 343 has done an excellent job with this game. They are so passionate about Halo (considering a lot of their employees are dedicated Halo fans) they will always try to please the majority of the community. They might not do a perfect job, but you have to remember, nothing is perfect.

They should not concentrate on limiting themselves to one disk. It is a stupid limitation. They should just do what battlefield 3 did.

one more question: will I really have my reach maps on Anniversary if I installed the reach?

I haven’t heard anything from 343i but people are saying that you can, so maybe

I assume that Halo is going where it should. As for the maps, 7 maps will be remade, and only accessible through Halo CEA’s multiplayer portion, or through Reach’s multiplayer lobby. The Halo CEA will NOT ship with a Halo 2, or 3 remake, or multiplayer concept.

It’s because of time restraints.

that is not what I said, they were examples of how multiplayer disks have come out with all of the dlc.

I never said it was you.

Pretty much this. However, if you want access to everything keep your Reach disk. Otherwise you can only play MM from the CE:A disk and it’s only one playlist (Anniversary).

Just to clear up confusion: IT’S ALL ON ONE DISK. THERE ISN’T A SECOND DISK FOR THE MP.
