In my opinion this new multiplayer of Halo 4 is more like a " Call of Halo " thing, there is no trueskill system, no ranked-social playlists and u can join a game already in progress.
I misse the old halo 3 system on multiplayer 
Halo 4 is fun but not very competitive.

Did you know, every playlist in halo 4 is ranked? The ranks are not in game, you can see them on you’re waypoint stats page. Or go to QuickCSR.com.
I’m not even sure the Halo 4 ranking is functional right now. I see only a vague correlation between CSR and skill when I look at post game stats. Maybe it worked when population was higher…
im 19 csr now xD in halo 3 i was 38 (*2 WTF) , and in this game all the time i play i feel im like a 45+ guy xD always get scores of 20/5- 25/10 18/5 and scores like that, cant believe that that “csr” dont increase, have A LOOOOOT more victory than loses and a positive KD what else is needed to really increase the CSR ???
And other thing i wanna point is the unbalanced matchmaking system: like at least 1 of 3 games the scores are in team slayer like 600/100 600/80 and scores really really nasty… There are really good people that know how to play against some guys that dont even know how the radar system works and always have like scores of 1/15 or 4 /20 with the "weapon with most kills " : plasma grenade or melee xD
There is no a lone wolves playlist :S all the playlists are “social” where most of the time when u are playing with misterguy, misterguy(1) misterguy(2) misterguy(3) u know you are in -Yoink-. NOT EVEN a ranked list. ( Ohh but all the games are ranked, yeah… my -Yoink- is also ranked…)
experience system sucks : its more like a play to earn exp, and not a WIN to get exp, cause even if u loose ur gonna get 2000+ exp. So even the dumbest player can reach the top level that is just a -Yoinking!- number !!! xD (130) and if u want u can repeat the process many times !! (yeah just like prestige in COD jaja)
Halo 4 could be a really good competitive game if done properly but we just see that is just a game 4 fun, and not for “casual competitive play”
Halo 3 of the win because dummies can’t be high level
I prefer Reach’s ranking system.
