Found dying often because of the little information by the new radar no time to think or move
the current radar is useless

it really is
The old radar got taken behind the shed and shot.
I know I sound like a broken record, but you just have to be more aware of your surroundings. It really does pay off, believe me. I felt the same way about the radar in the beginning, but it’s possible to adapt.

My question is why did they adjust how it responds to movement from past titles? The only way you didn’t show up on past trackers was by crouch walking or walking painfully slow. However this iteration of the tracker doesn’t pick up on running, that is top speed without sprinting or even jumping. Was this really such an issue that they saw fit to fix this ‘issue’? I’m fine with 18m on the tracker, just return the ping on all movement as I mentioned above, I believe that would fix a large amount of the problems people are finding. I’ve been playing this series for a better part of a decade now and can honestly say I get shot more in the back now than I ever did in any of the past titles.

Solo en warzone, no en arena.
I think the new radar presents a new challenge. I like it. I don’t like how everyone can see you on the map wherever you are, so it’s good they changed it.
My problem is the fact that the radar is just purely distracting. If I see movement on my radar my eyes instantly look at it. So now in Halo 5 looking at my radar just get’s me killed. Not to mention that the range in which you can here foot steps in 2-3 times the distance of the radar making the game very disorienting when playing the game with headphones on. I shouldn’t ever be killed by a spartan charge from behind without an indication on my radar. Either make the range larger or get rid of it completely.
At it’s current state, it’s just barely better than useless. And while I hated that at first, I’m sort of OK with it now. I’d be OK with a small boost to its range, but also OK with nothing being done to it at all.
I say get rid of the radar completely!
When you see eachother all the time then you be playing always face 2 face! Without any element of surprise… It all comes down who fires the first shot… always i hate that about radar
Without it would be much more fun you can sneak up to enemys now like i said there is no room for elemen of surprise only who turns faster, fires first and you basically win… that isnt fun or skill based at all

It seriously doesn’t respond to a sprinting player? o.o I haven’t noticed that yet.

It does, then you turn around and he punches you. It only extends out to the outer close quarters range; basically where close ranged weapons are effective.
Also, I believe getting shot in the back means you choked by definition from the competitive scene. Getting assassinated also means the attacker made a “good play”. Anyway, not knowing where someone is or if someone is on top of you is a problem with team communication, therefore you deserve not being able to defend yourself. (this is the opinion of competitive play, which I understand) However, knowing the map well and listening you can overcome the lack of visual warning, so it’s adaptable unless you just have a low mental capacity!
Honestly, the only benefit is that the lack of Radar speeds it up so you can’t camp as well. Other than that, I don’t really see No Radar as being a more skillful/tactical way to play. Slayer Pro in HCE was with Radar and I was successful because most battles I could defend myself properly.
But, really it’s not worth complaining. I like that they made it more to the range of competitive play while enough so casuals can have visual aid. So it’s fair enough.
agreed bring back the old radar

I don’t know. I’ve always seen no-radar assassinations as just getting lucky enough to catch someone with their pants down. Yet I do agree with your point of being able to adapt to the reduced range though
Just got to use your eyes more, and communicate with your team (If even possible lol…).
Hi
My friends and I have played every Halo title. Why do 343 have to mess with things. I think they have done a great job with Halo 5 but the changes to the radar have annoyed some of my friends so much that they won’t play the game until 343 revert the radar to its original distance. This is starting to make me angry. 343 stop messing with things that make the game great as you just end up pushing fans away from the game!!!
Hope you are listening 343
Shinobi
The radar is the same as it used to be.
Spartans are just faster.
Maps are bigger.
So in this new environment it is half as good.
343i is catering to lower skilled players. Now they have a chance to sneak up on skilled players and spray then with the over powered assault rifle
