Old characters returning in DLCs

So, considering that there was no sign of characters like Thomas Lasky and Sarah Palmer to be found throughout the main campaign of Halo Infinite, we should see these two characters return and as well as characters we’ve known since the original trilogy of Halo games like Marcus Stacker and Chips Dubbo because it would be nice to see those two men fight alongside with the Master Chief against the Banished and the Endless.

Give me Linda and Kelly doing recon and stealth missions.

There are so many possible ways DLC can go in regards to returning characters. It’s another reason why I loved Infinite’s ending so much.

It’ll take another 6 years before any dlc is released lol

Buck and 031 Exuberant Witness

True that. Various paths DLCs could try to go through with the storyline.

Exuberant was a welcomed brightspot in campaign and as a mp voice over.

There are so many characters that need to be talked about in Infinite but they are all sidelined for now. Everything feels purposefully left blank so 343 could fill it in later at their own pace, but I’m not holding my breath waiting for them to finish the story. They take way too long to finish their work and it’s usually not really worth waiting for anyways.

All questions will be answered in the next twenty novels that they will release.
After all, the past decade of Halo has had 24 novels added to the series.

  • 2011 : Cryptum - Glasslands
  • 2012 : Primordium - The Thursday War
  • 2013 : Silentium
  • 2014 : Mortal Dictata - Broken Circle
  • 2015 : New Blood - Last Light - Hunters in the Dark - Saint’s Testimony - Shadow of Intent
  • 2016 : Fractures - Smoke & Shadow -
  • 2017 : Envoy - Retribution - Legacy of Onyx
  • 2018 : Bad Blood - Silent Storm
  • 2019 : Renegades - Oblivion - Battleborn - Battleborn: Meridian Divide
  • 2020 : Shadows of Reach
  • 2021 : Divine Wind - Point of Light

And now, 2022, we have a new novel in the form of Rubicon Protocol and next year we have Halo: Outcasts which will pick up with Vale and Arbiter’s own story that takes place between Halo 5 Gorbians and Halo Infinite.

Honestly tho, it would be nice to have DLC campaigns in Halo Infinite.
There is just so much potential.

  • Spartan Agryna’s search for the UNSC Infinity crew and wreckage.
  • Lone Wolves hunting down HVTs on Zeta Halo and uncovering a bigger target.
  • Captured Spartans forced to be Gladiators hunting down Spartans and other UNSC Stragglers on Zeta Halo
  • The Crashed Guardian in the vista could be the focus of UNSC forces trying to keep The Banished from repurposing the thing into a WMD of their own.
  • Blue Team arriving to Zeta Halo and searching for Master Chief
  • Red Team/Spirit of Fire eventually making it to Zeta Halo.

But for right now, we will only expect novels thus far to give us updates on -

  • How Locke died and where Tanaka is now.
  • Possibly a novel on Sarah Palmer searching for the UNSC Infinity to confirm if Roland was a sleeper-agent of Cortana, hence why the UNSC Infinity fell so fast because defenses weren’t being raised.
  • The Spirit of Fire finds a way back to the galaxy and attempts to locate Installation 04-C to find Professor Anders.
  • Possibly a book on Banished leadership going through a brief power vacuum only for Atriox to suddenly show up and retake his place as leader.
  • Perhaps a Forerunner novel detailing Offensive Bias’ actions and events on Zeta Halo involving The Endless to shed more light on them (there is a claim for the name of “Halo: The Endless” so the possibility is very high)
  • Picking up the plotlines of other Halo Novels such as following Grey Team, Alpha-Nine, Kilo-Five, the Ferrets, The Ace of Spades, finishing the cancelled Battleborn trilogy, or more individual novels to further expand the universe and lead into campaign threads for Halo Infinite Part 2.

Since the books are where most of the best stories are told in Halo now, is there a way to listen to these books on an app or something? I’d like to listen to all of the books in order. They might even be “acted out” by the voice actors like other audible books lol

Audible.
You can find the books there.
