Old Art Style

Since Master Chief was seen in his high res and detailed Halo 2-3 armor dont want try to and butcher the armors name but
Will other NPC’s get back there classic styles and more slik designs seen in Halo wars 2 and Halo 2 remastered
Cause the grunts are now turtles Elites are aliens with a squid for a face jackals look like fat birds that webt through a weight loss porgram and forgot to remove there stretchy skin and hunters could be bigger

yeah I’m hoping they fix the grunts and jackals. as for the elites I’m hoping they go with the h2a design for their anatomy and h2a armor for swords of sangheilios. if we see any other covey factions it might be a good idea to have some newer armor design or some kind of hybrid. not what we see in h4/h5 but something built off of the old models.

I think the E3 demo showed some good stuff for art style. Halo Wars 2 already showed a great mix of classic and new, so I imagine Infinite will only improve upon that. Also, thanks for the laughs with your descriptions

Yup, I got a laugh too. Also agree, I imagine Infinite will improve upon the mix of old and new.

I really hope so, grunts and elites have been through the worst changes but Jackals definitely werent anywhere near the level of design that the older models were.

Though brutes too, should take a step back. I dont get as to why 343i had the need to change them from feral looking beasts to fat flat faced space teddy bears.

The brutes should get longer jaws and teeth again, and so on.

Also, the flood needs to have its basic forms back like combat and carrier forms with some added stuff given flood really has some potential for various bosses. The yellow parts better had been RTS visibility stuff.

Who knows. Judging from the trailer the art style looks like a mix of old and new. For example the Marines had more classic looking armour but then were holding H5 BR’s (I think). Another example, Chief’s armour is classic but the warthog looked more akin to the modern versions. So really just judging by the trailer it’s totally possible we could get classic inspired Elites but then modern inspired Grunts, just no way to know yet.

They could use halo wars 2 models

I’d be fine with that. HW2 style is really good in my opinion.

hw2 from what I seen was a mix of the 2 and infinite is continuing that which is good

Right and your welcome have to be honest with halo now

A cross between H2A and Reach would be best.

Halo 3 hl2a reach and halo wars 2 had the best models

a cross between classic and new would be awesome, especially when talking about armor. imagine the Halo 5 armors redesigned to fit a Halo 3 style.

You know, you may not be as far-fetched as you think. There’s a theory going on that actually makes sense for Chief’s armor change. I don’t have the book, but Hidden Xperia quoted something from the Spartan Field Manual about the GEN3 platform. What he said is:

> GEN3 aims at replicating the look of the GEN1 platform (HCE-Reach) while maintaining the functionalities of the GEN2 platform.

Chief’s armor in the trailer has the appearance of GEN1, but looks more functional, like GEN2. If it’s really the case, then we can expect popular armors from Halo 5 (like Helioskrill, which I HOPE for) to appear in the glorious classic artstyle.
However, looking at some armors in Halo 5, it seems that GEN3 is technically there already. If you look at the armors of Noble Team or Mark IV, Mark VI, etc. they have a familiar appearance to GEN1 but are being used with GEN2’s functionality and abilities.

Never said it was far-fetched, Ive read and talked about the new suit being Gen 3 since the trailer came out, if you look through some of the other Infinite forums you can find some really good discussions regarding the theory.
