Okay, so what did Limited Edition get...?

> Absolutely nothing. It’s probably the most depressing LE ever released.

> let Bungie finish off the series…

Bungie should have finished the series back in 2007 with Halo 3. But, the Halo cow just had to be milked. Since then we’ve had Halo 3: ODST, a great game. Halo Wars, a good game. Halo: Reach, an ok game and Halo 4 a terrible game. How 343 treat their fans is an utter joke. LE owners were 100% ripped off.

It is Microsoft’s fault for screwing up on their end. Not yours. It’s also not 343’s since they are not in charge of how the marketplace functions.

> And fyi 30 US dollars =/= 800 MSP
> 30 US dollars ~ 3600 MSP

Uh, no. 30 USD = 2400 MSP in the states. Each 800 MSP is $10.

Are you really upset that someone else gets to have the same stuff as you? Because that is exactly what you are saying here. Specializations? Yeah, for a limited time they were offered to standard edition players, but they aren’t anymore (until a community milestone is reached) and you go count the number of threads about specialization codes and tell me that everyone has them right now. Map pass? You get them for free while the rest of us either have to spend 800 points ($10) for the pack or 2000 points ($25) for a pass. So you got the specializations, maps, plus some extra avatar awards and skins for, what, an extra $30? While the rest of us have to spend either $25 or $30 for the maps, either go buy a code at ebay or something for who knows how much or wait for possibly months for them to get released to the general populace, and will never get access to those skins or avatar items without buying them from someone.

Nope, the Mass Effect 3 Omega DLC was $10 USD, when loaded onto the XBox, it gives 1200 MSP to use to buy said DLC, which cost 1200 MSP.
SO, $10 USD = 1200 MSP

$10 USD x 3 = $30 USD
1200 MSP x 3 = 3600 MSP

$30 USD = 3600 MSP

Wrong, and WRONG.

The Specs were unlocked to EVERYONE only a week after release, that is not even enough time for 30% of the player base to reach SR50.

The map pack is being given out for FREE TO EVERYONE.

So, we paid $30 USD more for…a different paint job on the BASIC armor? Yeah…rip off

Paint job? where? sorry, I can’t see any difference with the standard Recruit…

Same for the Prime AR

The map pack is not being given free to everyone. It’s a free trial which expires on Tuesday.

After that only Map Pass holders and Limited Edition buyers get to keep it (or people who actually paid 800 points for it).

We got some “limited edition content” that isn’t really limited (other than the physical stuff and the avatar items).

FUD: Available ONLY to watch on Waypoint, and is being put out onto DvD and Blu-ray (not limited if you ask me)

The map pack was a HUGE blunder and shouldn’t have happened to begin with. And the only reason I’m content now is that those that downloaded it for free get it revoked.

This was a VERY lame LE, and it’s convinced me to put the next one under some serious scrutiny before buying.

AL LEAST YOU HAVE YOUR SPECS, I AM A HUGE FAN AND I DONT HAVE MY SPECS BECAUSE I DIDNT RECEIVE THE CODE, AND NOONEEEE CARES!

> AL LEAST YOU HAVE YOUR SPECS, I AM A HUGE FAN AND I DONT HAVE MY SPECS BECAUSE I DIDNT RECEIVE THE CODE, AND NOONEEEE CARES!

All Caps. You must be serious.

In all honesty, I really do feel bad for the people that haven’t gotten the codes. And I agree completely that it’s unacceptable that fans of the series are made to wait for codes they won’t get. But, none the less…people like myself (LE owners) payed $30 more for mediocre (at best) content.

But hey, more power to those that DO enjoy this LE.

I think the issue with st edition vs LE edition is that 343 never finished elaborating what the St edition came with and all other subsequent content to come as well.

For instance, it wasn’t until a short time prior to release day that the majority of the community found our St edition owners would get spec. Access as well, St pre orders also got some kind of skin, fud dvd was announced after game release which is stupid and cheap on their part.

In short the week prior and post release came off as this .

Edit* sorry if im not correct on all points but you get the idea I’m sure.

You got exactly what you wanted. A LIMITED EDITION.

> You got exactly what you wanted. A LIMITED EDITION.

Limited Editions are supposed to have Limited Edition content. All of it.

How is Having FuD available ONLY on waypoint, and available to everyone else on DvD and Blu-Ray “Limited”?

It should be LIMITED EDITION, not MOSTLY LIMITED EDITION.

And the content sucks (IMO). I payed $30 more for a steel book, crappy skins, A mini series only available to watch on waypoint, a season pass and some physical Items.

Mostly limited? Wait, becouse we actually got something limited also? I thought it was just for paying it more, not for reciving something limited

When will you guys get it in your tiny brains, the free map pack was a glitch and was fixed long ago now.

Yes, we got limited edition physical items, and DLC.

As much as it sucks, it’s limited edition. They never specified the quality of the limited edition things.

And yet you still have exactly what you paid for. A limited edition. I don’t have one. Wish I did but I don’t cause of my own damn fault. What did the people that bought the Limited Edition of Halo 2 get that everyone else didn’t? A metal case.

In other words, cry moar!
