Okay, so what did Limited Edition get...?

I bought the limited edition to get the map packs for free and the specialisations - spending real money thinking it’s going to be beneficial in the long run…

Although it was all for nothing, with the specialisations being released to everyone so soon, and the map pack being free what are the limited edition people going to get? Are you telling me I spent $30 more for a few cards that had nothing interesting on them?

I’m a huge Halo fan but I’m feeling like I’m being ripped off and cheated for trying to support the game… This is a joke 343i please change contract and let Bungie finish off the series…

You also got a shiny case.

Oh yeah I forgot about that, shiny - reminding me it’s a $30 case lol

@RecallAP

The map packs are only free for those who have the Limited Edition or the Map Pass, to everyone else it’s 800 MSP don’t worry dude.

> You also got a shiny case.

lol was about to post this…

You basically got Halo 4 steelbook edition

Recruit in-game PRIME skin (A skin for starting armour, not to mention a pretty bad skin)
Assault Rifle in-game PRIME skin (again, bad armour for a weapon you rarely use, and it’s a worse skin than one you unlock)
Recruit avatar armour (… I already have ODST armour/Reach Helmets etc. I will never use this)
Cryo-tube avatar prop (Again, something I will never use, I have better props)
A limited edition case (Nowhere near as good as Reach’s case)
A MJOLNIR poster and booklet (Still, not as good as the Halsey journal, I don’t even like these)

You ALSO get
EARLY specialisations, just like everybody else
SPECIAL EDITION foward unto dawn (Hosted on waypoint, available to all via youtube etc.)
A WAR GAMES MAP PASS (which costs more than individually buying the maps… but comes with two bad helmets)

Did I miss anything…? oh yeah, Halo Reach.

.

Unless it was just changed, everyone can actually get it for free. When you go to the marketplace through the Halo 4 Main Menu it automatically brings up the transaction window with no charge applied.

People who got the specialisation code sent, also unlocked the maps for free man, it’s a joke… Had nothing like this with Bungie…

Wrong. When it was first released, it was free to EVERYONE, they just fixed it not too long ago.

And fyi 30 US dollars =/= 800 MSP
30 US dollars ~ 3600 MSP

The other side to that though is that Bungie didn’t have a map pass of some kind, so there wasn’t much room for a glitch to occur where it would go from a specific group getting the maps for free to everyone getting it for free.

at least you will be ready to say NO to halo 5 ED

I was reffering to the cost of LE to standard, and not everyone lives in USA.

I live in Australian where our dollar is greater than the US, although we are forced to pay excessively extra for the same products… even online.

@RecallAP

You got an uncut movie, an armor skin, a weapon skin, early access to spec code, Xbox live avatar stuff, the game, and stuff expanding the lore.

You were told what you were going to get months ahead of time before release, and they announced the Standard edition’s specs deal several weeks in advance. You had plenty of time to make up your mind if the purchase was right for you or not.

It’s not 343’s fault you didn’t come down to whether or not the edition is right for you or not. If you were fine with it, great. If you weren’t, you should’ve downgraded. If you weren’t and you still bought it, you only have yourself to blame.

Honestly, just no one buy the next halo game LE, they will loose in the long run for doing this…

You got specialization a good 3 weeks-month before everyone else.
%10 probably managed too)

Exclusive armor/emblems.

and the other bonuses.

It’s my fault they made the maps for free…? Oh I totally see that… most that stuff you mentioned is free to Standard Edition games as well… and Youtube…

The case isn’t even shiny - it’s pretty much a matte white case with black designs.

Anyway, I believe if Microsoft doesn’t address this (particularly the free release of the Crimson Map Pack)then they’re going to get a ton of flak from many of the LE buyers.

I was comparing the price of the Map pack to the cost of the LE in the US.

We paid 4x as much as anyone else who paid for just the map pack, while all we got was a different game case.

And most people who were waiting for the map pack to come online…got it for FREE anyway.

Absolutely nothing. It’s probably the most depressing LE ever released.
