desync is a feature bro XD
I’d rather anti cheat be effective at this point.
Considering no game has effective anti-cheat software I think that’s wishful thinking.
yeah this’ll never get fixed. They haven’t even acknowledged this is a problem beyond that idiotic blog telling us ‘every game has this guys, deal with it’. So no, the core of this game is rotten af. Will not get fixed.
That moment when you trade frontal melee hits with an opponent at point blank and you both get back smack kills on each other. It’s a feature.
June 17th, 2022. I experienced desync on at least 5 separate occasions in one match. Absolutely unacceptable that a game with such production values as Halo is being neglected this much by 343i. Thinking about finishing the event, then uninstalling the game for good. I’m absolutely sick of this game being damn near unplayable and 343i ignoring us and continuing to sell cosmetics.
I’ll say this, is desync extremally frustrating and unacceptable eight months after launch? Yes. Is 343i ignoring us? No. I have several friends at the studio. Trust me their head network guy is losing sleep over this issue. The team and many employees are extremally frustrated with the stats of the game. Just like we are. And some have even made comments to me about how frustrating it is to not have these issues figure out after six years of development.
Obviously yes and they don’t care
Weird how desync didn’t become a problem until they removed player collision and friendly fire. Strange… I wonder…hmm.
Player collision is a main cause for melee’s not registering. I don’t think it has anything to do with shot registering. Also friendly fire is on. Just in ranked as usual.
It needs to be on in Socials. KOTH and Land Grab need it so it doesn’t continue to devolve into a grenade spam-fest even when you control the Hill.
They are the ones responsible though, every action that has been taken in infinite thus far has been to make things worse. The first substantial fix of the game? removing the tank gun lol. No one minds waiting for the process when its done in good faith, at all. The good faith has been exhausted by 343i before this game even launched, and they have only fumbled harder and harder as things go. They already scuttled their one chance to grow the title in a huge way with the sketchy launch with nothing but promises. Trying to poach a battle royal audience and not using firefight to do it is an impressive stroke. There is no good faith left for 343i, and all observations lead to they are not operating in good faith either. Nor have they been any time recently. Router 2 scandal was pretty on the nose for how silly it is to be stuck trying to figure out how to navigate the charred remains of a newly launched title. How do you play around the problem when the problems are so huge and fundamental has been the golden question for infinite. Sadly the answer everyone comes to is just try again in a few years when the game is finished.
Whelp looks like dysync isn’t getting fixed any time soon as apparently they have nobody working on it atm just shows how ridiculously idiotic the higher ups decide what should be worked on
absolutely. today only had a dozen or more instances of melees and damage not registering, sometimes in quick succession. disregarding the lack of content being pushed out, if it weren’t for the desync and register issues the game isn’t half bad. i actually enjoy playing when i dont experience them.
This former employee explains a bit more that makes sense.

With the launch of team double and the desync once again getting worse as new content is added to the game I think it’s time to revive this post.
343 campaign co-op should have been released at launch. As much as I want to play campaign with friends I’d be willing to wait for it’s release if the base game was playable. Desync continues to get worse and worse and it’s extremely annoying. Focus the team on desync issues then worry about co-op campaign.
Wow that bit about campaign coop didnt age well. I agree desync needs to be the absolute priority right now because that is the first step to reversing the flow of people away from the game. The fact that they are seemingly just noticing its a problem speaks volumes to how genuinely inadequate 343I management has been. For them to go out and request more feedback on desync with the track record of having listened to feedback 1 time for halo infinite (restoring tank gun) while ignoring the constant stream of concise clear feedback just shows that nothing they have ever said as it relates to halo infinite has been in good faith. More and more it appears they designed and released halo infinite just to kill off the fanbase left and forever -Yoink!- the impression of halo to the fortnite allowances. 343I management will get what it wants, its going to be free of the franchise now with or without the franchise being entact lol.

he most important thing 343 should be working on is (desync) in halo infinite. I looked up where the servers are for halo infinite yesterday and they are all very far from me. I’m in Florida. I have 2 ping fiber internet and I am very tired of my shots not registering. Is a level battle field too much to expect ??? This is 2022 and it is ridiculous !
As long as (desync) is an issue in halo infinite, the ranking system is meaningless and the multiplayer is so lopsided that the joy of playing is being sucked out of it !!!
It’s been 11 months 343. We need open transparency on why desync is still in the game and is it even fixable.
^Best statement I’ve read on all of these forum posts so far. Without this transparency (and certainly without a real fix for desync), I won’t be back after MW2 releases in two weeks. I am far from alone in that sentiment. Don’t want to leave, but also can’t stand to stay in its current state. Just a shame.
