343 said themselves they tried a new approach which favore the shooter. And we all know what happen if 343 has a great idea to which is supposed to make everything better…

The fps theory doesn’t make any sense. When you’re shooting someone, you’re activing sending a message to the server that you’re shooting.
The problem is, by the time the server responds to the action, you’re target isn’t in the same position. Without a method to compensate for this delay, you’d have to lead your shots.
This is made worst if one player has a super high ping causing the server to wait even longer for the message.
Favoring the shooter wouldn’t be so bad if the ping was lower and that’s what they’re probably working on doing at the moment.
I got my worst desyncs on 30 ping servers…

I don’t know what causes desync, but playing on 105ms ping and higher definitely doesn’t help…

Of course it’s all speculation on my side but it’s way more plausible that these circumstances lead to noticeable desync than a constant exchange of data of your profile.
And as I said, even if this isn’t a big problem, I can perfectly imagne how 343 approached it: oh, we have a minimal issue here… let’s try something super fancy to fix it. An voila… getting shot 3 feet behind the corner all the time.

Just got melee’d in SWAT & took no damage & killed the guy who hit me, it’s that bad I feel for the opposing players

I had the absolute worst game yesterday with desync. Was getting no kills, but a buttload of assists. And was hitting every BR shot. If Halo Infinite had a good tracking system for stats, which is shameful that it doesn’t, you’d see that I’d get two or three perfects a game with with the BR. Last week. The past two days I haven’t gotten a single one and I played over 20ish matches. Also, vanishing grenades, grenades that go through enemy players and vanishing rockets have been a major problem as well
I’ve made the decision to quit playing again because it’s just too damn frustrating to play this game and have fun.

Are some days are worse than others?
Two nights ago I’m rocking solid KDA in every match. Last night I’m getting rocked, assists galore, can’t land final shots as they run off around a corner, kids grapple shot flying at me with no shields as I watch my final rounds go right through them… haven’t seen it this noticeable on xbox before.

I think this is very high on their priority list. The problem is they have no idea what is wrong and how to fix it.

No, all the devs are very talented and qualified. The problem 343 (Microsoft in general) has to heavy of a reliance on contract workers.
They do actually. It’s just going to take a long time.

The only info we’ve gotten from 343 thus far has been that the issues come from latency, mainly. Despite the best of connections, and even with local games, the issues are still prevalent. I’ve seen no evidence that 343 knows why their game is broken.
At this point I would almost say to stop adding new content until they have a firm grasp on things. I was excited for the new maps and modes, but my frustration with the new weapon jamming bug far exceeds my satisfaction.

One of the perks of living in Washington state is I have several friends who work at 343. Trust me they know what’s causing the issue and are working on it as a top priority.

Yes, some days are worse than others. This game makes no sense.
Because the fix is no where close to being released. My understanding is they will do small improvements over time mixed in with usual updates then release a large update to fix the issue whenever it’s ready. My guess is end of this year/quarter one next year.

The game will be dead and buried by then…they quite simply don’t have that time, and the only ppl left playing will be the hardcore Halo till I die fans and 343i apologist. I quit playing a couple of months and occasionally looking/posting on here justifies my decision…I don’t miss this broken game at all. COD MW2 leaks and information are already spreading with a confirmed release date of 28th October, so I hope the game lives up to the building hype…and if it does, I won’t be thinking about returning to Halo Infinite at all. 343i missed the boat then sunk it with their own incompetence and substandard game.

After this event update, Ive been experience heavy aim, or i dont know, the game feels so weird right now, any body else with this issue?
Gun jamming with the BR is still in. I never get a shot after a melee. Wasn’t this supposed to be fixed today?
