The servers must be messed up as im uk and every game i have is in the US servers
Remember that long post 343i published after banning geo filter explaining how it screwed with their matchmaking process, impacted other players and how they were making improvements to ensure better localised matches? Well here we are weeks later still being placed on servers thousands of miles away which is why players used geo filter in the first place. Just more words and lies from the incompetent 343i.
Yeah well their whole “technical” breakdown blog on desync is no longer on the site or accessible. You just get an error now.
Really?! Well that speaks volumes!
Yep, take a look and see if you can find it. It’s gone. There is one link in the February update blog that you can find but if you click on it you’ll get an error.
I’m past caring about this game and anything 343i have to say so I can’t be bothered looking, but thanks for the heads up ![]()
This is hilarious! It was a whole bunch of gas-lighting anyway and didn’t actually deal with the real issues that are occurring. So I’m not surprised it has disappeared.
Desync is worst against PC players, probably due to their huge fps advantage. Man, I would easily pay 40 bucks for turning of crossplay for good.
I play on PC and get desync all together. Doesn’t matter what system people are playing on.
with what framerate? I suppose it’s the difference between platforms. No matter on what end you are…
I get 240 on arena maps and about 220 on BTB maps. But I also get desync on my Series X too in the family room.
If they knew how to fix the issue, it would have already been fixed.
The fact of the matter is it will probably always be busted.
Unfortunate truths. This game will be forever bad due to desync.
Desync is so awesome. I LOVE it when my grenades vanish into thin air after throwing them.
The rocket thing used to happen to be all the time in Halo 3. But only on the Pit. Which was weird.
Never had and issue with rockets really on Halo 3. Kinda did with frag grenades though.

The disappearing rocket.
Not sure if this is desync or just God awful net code
Desync unfortunately.
That’s what I thought. It’s so unfortunate man. This game is so much damn fun to play ( when desync doesn’t rear. It’s ugly head). But this crap happens all the time. Extremely frustrating.
So according to a source of mine desync is caused because Halo Infinite is tied to your Xbox profile and the amount of data on your Xbox profile is overwhelming. So the server is having to sift to large amounts of data to find the correct information to send back to the client.
I was told that a fix to desync is an absolute top priority and is currently being worked on. Though it sounds as if the game will need an overhaul of how it handles data and where to store it. Don’t expect a fix anytime soon. But one will eventually happen.
