I suggest reading the whole thing before you comment.
Look, no one really hated the campaign. People say “I hate the campaign” as a way to express their distaste for it. In truth, it wasn’t horrible. By no means am I saying it was a good campaign but there’s been worse (I.e. Every CoD game since MW3). The thing is, it was disappointing. Yeah the levels were somewhat enjoyable to play through but the story is what was lacking. There just wasn’t a lot to it. There was a lack in character development, I mean we didn’t really learn a whole lot about Osiris except from stuff like Nightfall and ODST. We got some basic info but after that, nada. As for blue team, well we all know the case there. They weren’t in the game enough for any development to happen and if anything there was som development lost for chief. Halo 4 set up this whole Chief having to really deal with his own humanity now that Cortana was gone and it was thrown away. Much of what Halo 4 set up was thrown away. The Didacts Hand, gone in a cut scene in the first mission, cortana is brought back, Halsey isn’t going to kill humanity (I kno escalation came out explaining that but not everyone reads those). Anyways, that’s all I wanted to say really. Hopefully both sides will be willing to actually talk to each other instead of throwing insults.
I…really do though. Like it’s story is literally my least favorite out of the serious and even out of CoD.
I’d rather play through Advanced Warfare’s story again.
After I played it on Legendary solo I havent touched it since, I even gave up trying to find collectibles because I dont have the patience for it.
If I rated Halo 5 on it’s campaign, it would be a 3.5/10
The MP saves it though. So 7/10

Okay maybe some people hate it, and I don’t disagree with you. My point is that the statement holds more to it then just a whiny remark.

Not to sound rude, but what exactly was your point? That’s it not hate but disappointment we feel? I’m certain if someone is disappointed enough, they’ll hate something. Or maybe some of us looked at all the lies of the marketing and realized we were fed into the hype for something that didnt deliver. Especially after not one, but two lukewarm titles (Halo 4 & MCC)

Yeah actually I do hate the campaign. Most people do.
If I don’t hate the campaign, does that mean I have to say that I strongly disliked it? I mean, that’s what my 3rd grade teacher would say. Because I hated it. The Warden was the most irritating enemy ever, Soldiers are worse than Halo 2’s Brutes, and the story was subpar, to put it in the nicest way possible.
I hate the Campaign. It’s -Yoinking!- awful. I hate everything about it.
Accidental double post. My mistake.
I kind of did hate it.
Not every idea in the campaign was terrible, but nothing was great and a lot of it was just bad. Easily the worst Halo campaign I’ve ever played.
Disliked Halo 4’s campaign, hated Halo 5’s campaign with passion. It’s sad what’s happend to Halo campaign wise.
If by “no one” you mean “many people”, then you would be correct.
The story honestly wasn’t that great…
There were parts I liked and parts I hated that’s all there is to it, its just unfortunate that 343 pressed the self destruct button multiple times during the games narrative design.
Never hated it but it was extremely disappointing.
I really enjoyed the campaign. The story was bull -Yoink-. Some characters totally different from the books (cough cough Vale cough). And the advertisements lead me to believe chief was up to some crazy stuff. But the campaign was fun, running down the Guardian was great, finding alternate routes and the First Warden Eternal boss fight. All great fun.
I enjoyed it. I’ve replayed levels many times. But story isn’t why I buy games.

My point was to try and make those who are tired of hearing the statement but don’t really know why people say it
no i hate it with a passion and the fact that 343 advertised it as an epic hunt enfuriates me
The original trilogy was a better story arc. It’s like Star Wars all over again.
I loved running down the Guardian though.
It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t amazing either.
