Recharge is a bad hybrid of Adrift from Halo 4 and Condemned from Reach.
Bazaar is a COD/CSGO map. 343, we’ve been over this. No one is going to play your game if you keep stealing ideas that other games do 10x better. Be Halo, not Call of Halo.
First map was great btw, better than most Halo 3 maps actually.
I really like Bazaar, it is nothing like the CS:S map that it shares a theme with. how open the power weapon is makes it a real risk to get, and the flow of the map is rather interesting a lot of blind corners and hidden paths.
Recharge is also not like the maps you say it is like, it shares a theme and that is it.
Is having the same theme all it takes to be a “copy” for you?

Bazaar is in New Mombasa. And I forget the name, but it literally looks like a map from Halo 2.

Recharge: Multiple platforms, ramps, and isolated narrow corridors don’t work in Halo, not to mention how you can just sit on BR spawn and cover 3/4 of the map without the need to move. At least Lockout made you go to the other side for the sniper.
Bazaar: It’s a COD map with a Dust2 aesthetic. Just look at it. Long alleyways with ramps going up to multiple buildings. It’s pretty blatant.

Bazaar: it is more Ivery tower mixed with district (halo 2 maps). It plays nothing like a CoD map, no long site lines, 6 different lanes compaired to CoDs three, nothing like a CS:S map either as those only have 2 lanes on average with a sniper ally. I really don’t see how you can call it a CoD map or CS:S map as its flow is nothing like either of them. And beilve me I Have over a 1,000 hours in both.
Recharge: That is literally just your opinions, and half the time that BR spawn is a commando which isn’t good for that. I know which spawn you are talking about, and sitting on it is a good way to get sniped with a pistol by the AI… or back slapped… seriously the AI is really good a pulling people out of that spot.
Funny, because livefire is clearly the most COD-like map in the bunch. It has COD’s famous 3 lane structure.
Now that that is out of the way, can we please stop comparing maps to other game franchises or past games? There’s not an infinite amount of variations that could make a map usable and enjoyable. There’s not an infinite amount of color palettes to choose from. Maps are going to feel or look familiar and the faster we accept that the better it will be for everyone.
It’s OK to dislike maps. It’s OK to like maps. It’s probably not OK to discard them as “this one is too much like this other game” or “this reminds me of a past halo, why couldn’t they just make a new map?”
How many maps has halo put out? Aren’t there like 105 in MCC? That’s an insane amount of maps.
Looks like everyone has very different opinions here. I personally love all the maps, and as far as similarities go with other games. That’s just the way it is. Themes can be similar but let me tell you that no AAA game company is going to steal maps etc and add them to their game. Just won’t happen.

No long sight lines? You can see the entire middle of the map from multiple positions plus all the side alleys. Also, District was a terrible map which pretty much just centered on controlling the sniper spawn in the parking garage. If we’re aspiring to be a mix of the worst parts of Halo and COD, the alphas/betas are going to be the only playtime this game sees out of me.
Do you ever stop and ask yourself why only 10,000 people play Halo at peak hours? Why Infinite only got 5k viewers (from what I saw) across all channels on Twitch? People don’t care anymore and it’s copycat design like this that made them that way.

… Well you are out of touch with reality at this point.
Tehre where 30,000 people watching the technical beta stream on Youtube alone. The last stream I watched on youtube for it was around 6,000 there is more then just twitch as as source. Ok that is one hole punched.
On your sightlines complaint, I will now look at every sniper ally type halo map ever, ooh look the map is 90% sight lines… it is almost like that is a way that halo builds maps. you know put in long dangerous sight lines that require you to be wary use cover and you know stay mobile.
It is part of why I like halo, if you camp you die.
But at this point I know there is no reasoning with you, you have an opinion and that opinion makes you mad, so you think others should have it and get mad. But it is just that your opinion… not a fact.
People say this like it is a bad thing, but Call of Duty absolutely nail most of their maps and the 3 lane structure is a staple of most strong symmetrical multiplayer maps from any multiplayer game.
Bazaar wouldn’t look out of place in a Call of Duty game stylistically, that doesn’t matter. It actually has more personality than most Halo maps, which is important. The map has great verticality. While I don’t know how well it will function in competitive game modes, I do know that it will be great for social objective gametypes and probably really fun to play SWAT and Snipers on. It will also be an absolute banger of an FFA map. I feel like all 3 from the flight will be great in FFA settings actually.
I’m really loving the look of the 3 maps we have so far. Live Fire will be a really fun map for Ranked Slayer, KOTH and Oddball.

The technical beta stream showing the very first bits of gameplay only had 30,000 viewers? You know how many people use to play the game before bad game design became a tradition at Bungie(later carried over to 343)?
Also, you just said there weren’t long sight lines like COD maps. Now you’re saying there are. As for Halo 2/3 maps (probably the peak of Halo map design though I like most of Reach’s btb maps too) having 90% sight lines, most of those are distorted. Got top turret on The Pit and you really can’t see much that isn’t on your side of the map. S3 on Lockout can see the whole top of the map, but there’s at least half in total that it can’t. Bazaar is literally 3(?) rooms that over look a middle with like 4-5 alley ways. It’s a COD map. Even looking at it from a balance perspective, you’re going to have the same one sided matches on that map that you do on Colossus in H2 because of how easy it is to control rockets. It’s a really bad map.
Recharge is my least favorite, because it reminds me a lot of the uninteresting arena maps in Halo 5. I’m just tired of the metal human maps (The rig, Plaza, Stasis, Eden, Fathom, Molten, Overgrowth, Riptide, and Torque.)
As far as the map layout of recharge goes, it reminds me of a halo 3/reach map, which is good. If Recharge was in Halo 5, it’d be my favorite human theme arena map, for example on how I feel about it.
Live fire is great for warm ups and I love the theme of a live fire training area.
Bazaar reminds me a lot of Halo 2 (for obvious reasons) with a lot more areas to go through. I like being able to enter the buildings.
My only problem with Bazaar is that there are a lot of areas that don’t see any action in bot slayer. Did you know about crawlspace? We found it by exploring and ignoring the fight, but I feel like I would have never known about it if I was always focused on the game at hand. This might change for pvp and different game modes. This will make a sweet infection map.

I can actually agree with it being a decent FFA map. The isolated areas keep kill stealing to a minimum.
