Rather than focus on what we dislike, what are some things that we do like about Halo 4 based on what we know so far?
First and foremost, I love how Cortana looks. I think she finally fits Jen Taylor’s voice (assuming she’ll be reprising her role). I also like the look of the Elites–they look more alien than they ever have. The BR returning was a definite plus for me and I’m excited for that, and I’m also a fan of Sprint so I’m pleased to see that made it’s returning as well. Spartan Ops sounds like it will be really fun, so I’m glad they ditched Firefight for it. FF was never truly fleshed out IMO. And of course the environments and soundtrack look and sound great so far.
343 has obviously put a lot of effort into this game, so let’s hope the MP facet of it is clarified so as to soothe us.
As it stands now I definitely won’t be purchasing the game, however I do think the spartan ops thing is kinda cool, and I always felt like btb games required a join in progress ability.
Sorry to derail your thread, but the Elites look horrible. Like giant hunchback toads with exposed skinny arms. They look more like the Chimera from Resistance Fall of Man. They changed WAY TOO much about the Elites that made them actually look bad -Yoink-. They gave the elites scales, webbed fingers, and nails! They don’t look like elites anymore . . . Look at this picture and compare it to the Elite in the leaked scan.
It looks almost exactly the same. Halo Reach had perfected the look of the Elite. An improved version of the Halo 1 Elite. Tall, lean, and scary looking at the same time. Their armor was sophisticated, now it looks like crap.
The new score sounds fantastic so far.
The story backdrop for multiplayer sounds simple but fits it perfectly.
Spartan Ops sounds great. I like how its going to be more story-centered.
The graphics look amazing! This is what Halo 3 should’ve been like. Cortana looks great as well.
Sue me, I like sprint.
BR and DMR. In the same game!
Bigger sandbox? Excited for Forging, that’s for sure.
Spartan IVs.
Overall, it seems they want Halo 4 to be more story-centered, and as someone who loves Halo for its story as well as gameplay, this is going to be great.

art, graphics, music all look great
I might like weapon loadouts if its br,dmr, magnum ar smg, carbine, NR and grenade type choice…anything beyond that beyond a single dedicated playlist or gametype is stupid
meh id rather have cortana look more along the lines of mai from king of fighters
yeh br…but with recoil…yayy… also yay to running away from loseing fights some more!
i liked ODST firefight…it doesnt need to be fleshed out… its galaga in 3d, not complex at all
Firefight always bored me. Spartan Ops, on the other hand, is sounding exquisite (except for the name, here’s to hoping it’s a placeholder). I’m fairly sure no other game has ever put out free weekly co-op episodes. The way I see it, Spartan Ops is at least on par with Forge in terms of quality, innovative additions.
Oh, and the graphics. Beautiful. They’d impress me if they were for a high-end PC game, but that 343i have managed to put them on the X360 is worthy of applause, as is the fact they’ve managed to keep the art style that arrived with CE.
Don’t get me started on the campaign. Never been so hyped before.

While I agree on the arms (though the other Elite shown DID have armour on his arms) I think the Elites look pretty cool. The reason they’re hunched over is probably because they have an Energy Sword (just like in Reach). Sadly I can’t find the image of the Elite with the Carbine, but I’m pretty sure he was standing up straight(er).

You sumed it up right here. I also like the grunts and am glad the Beam Rifles back.
As I read how the campaign will start, I was amazed. It felt like reading a Halo book. But, why does it start with Covenant attacking you? Nevermind, it’s really awesome.^^
All I can say to Multiplayer is, I have to play it or see a full game.
It only annoys me, that 343i is using the “more info coming soon” phrase, again and again. They could easily say, when we can expect new information, it’s not a big deal.
Lets look at the bright side of -Yoink- that doesn’t matter? The way Cortana looks? Really? The way that Cortana looks isn’t going to make this game good.

At least we know what Cortana looks like. We have no idea how these new abilities, weapons drops and custom classes affect gameplay.
