Okay come on now.. there HAS to be a forge map for CE:A Here's why

Okay so if they’re including Forge don’t you think one of the 6 maps (the 7th is a FF map) included will be completely forgeable (foundry, sandbox, blackout, forgeworld, and tempest for example) or at least have a very good amount of objects on them so that you can make a map? Just saying I doubt they’d include such a wonder of a tool and limit it to only placing weapons and adding a few new bridges and fusion coils like Halo 3 was like originally prior to the Heroic map pack.

it comes with reach mp, so you get forge world. Is that good enough?

agreed

> it comes with reach mp, so you get forge world. Is that good enough?

O.o when did they confirm that? All I’ve heard them say is that it comes with 6 classic multiplayer maps and a firefight map and that you can install it to your Reach disc. Also Forgeworld is kinda garbage IMO >.> It just has really no geographical features I’d like to use and the pieces are all the same and… yeah. I’m crossing my fingers…

it is not confirmed, but implied. of course you can install your multiplayer disk, didnt you do that with odst?

> it is not confirmed, but implied. of course you can install your multiplayer disk, didnt you do that with odst?

Lol but you couldn’t get to ODST from the Multiplayer disc or vice versa without swapping the disc out:) With CE:A you can install both and just play the multiplayer with all the maps on Reach and I believe it goes both ways so you can play all the reach maps on CEA if you have Reach installed :DD

CEA will NOT come with previous Reach MP maps, but you can install them if you already have Reach, and vice versa. Also, Hang em’ High is like Foundry in Halo 3, most of it is forged.

you know what I meant. it came with the halo 3 mythic disc. it had the old maps too. I have expected this to be the same deal for a long time. you dont expect the multiplayer to only be 6 maps? that would be horrible. hopefully if you installed reach you can play campaign from there, though. My reach disk needs to be resurfaced.

six maps? do you hear yourself? that would be a rip-off. of course it comes with old reach maps. why would they give you less maps than the original and only one firefight map? you need to get your facts straight.

…It’s true. Haha look around yourself you’re only getting 7 maps total xD

> it comes with reach mp, so you get forge world. Is that good enough?

You are VERY wrong. It plays on Reach’s multiplayer engine, but Halo CEA ONLY HAS the new maps on it. You HAVE to have Halo Reach to use the Reach maps.

And most players will end up using their Reach disk anyway, since you CANNOT access Reach maps whatsoever on Anniversary, but the Anniversary maps can be downloaded to your Xbox to be played on Halo Reach. (Separately for MS points, OR free with the purchase of Anniversary)

That was my biggest disappointment with 343 taking over: The defiant map pack was the first map pack since forge that didn’t have a forge map (I considered Avalanche the forge map of the Legendary pack, rather than Blackout.).

I’ll be seriously considering not buying H4 if 343 fails to produce a forge map in CEA.

No YOU do, YOU are wrong. There is a reason the game is only FORTY bucks. Because it works like a map pack. It is NOT ODST all over again, you can NOT use your Halo Anniversary disk to play on ANY reach maps AT ALL. You MUST use your Halo Reach disk to get the full Reach experience with all maps.

Hang 'em High is probably the Forge map, if not then Headlong or Timberland. But that’s a seriously stupid reason for not getting H4. It has nothing to do with it, and even if CEA doesn’t have a new forge map, H4 WILL.

refer to my rip-off post, my friend. who have you heard from? why would they put forge on the maps at all then? people would rather get halo PC.

only 7 maps! the game isnt going to do that. only battlefield 3 is doing that because the maps are huge and amazing and take up like a gigabyte each.

ODST was $40, and it had the old maps. I hold halo in high esteem, and I hope 343 does not make this a rip-off or i will recall my money and get MW3. (yes, I have extra money)

when can you play a map pack without the game? My reach disk needs to be resurfaced, and if this is a rip-off scheme, i will no longer follow halo.

Not getting H4 wouldn’t be because I’m upset about the lack of a forge map. At this point in time, I’m really not impressed with 343. I consider this 343’s final shot to prove to me that they have what it takes.

now if this were bungie, we would know we would get all of the maps. this is a test. we should wait until the release to continue fighting.

This thread is such a joke…it’s truly painful to read all these dumb, ignorent posts.

> now if this were bungie, we would know we would get all of the maps. this is a test. we should wait until the release to continue fighting.

Are you stupid? 343i has confirmed on multiple occasions that it would only be the 7 maps. The game will have Reach’s multiplayer engine on the disk, but only with the 7 new maps. It will also have a token to download the map pack for use in the actual Reach.

By the way, ODST was $60 at launch. Stop sucking Bungie’s -Yoink-.

Timberland and Hang 'Em High seem like they would be good for Forging. Hang 'Em High is quite flat and Timberland has Forgable trees.

> now if this were bungie, we would know we would get all of the maps. this is a test. we should wait until the release to continue fighting.

It’s only coming with the 7 new maps. None of the Reach or DLC maps will be inclued.

This has been said multiple times by memeber of 343 (mostly Frankie).

No, you need to get your facts straight. lol It just comes with the seven maps if you don’t have the Reach disk. You don’t get Reach’s deafult maps or DLC nor do can you access those playlists EXCEPT the Anniversary playlist through CE:A.

Also you get seven maps. You forgot about the FF map (Installation04) which will be playable within the Anniversary playlist.

As for Forge: The Q&A answers this but don’t worry, you can forge on all six of these maps!
