This girl betrayed me like 5 times and not once did i get the option to boot her, the minute i betray her i get booted. Explain that to me please…and not to mention she was betraying multiple people on our team and they didn’t get the ban option.

Don’t that get you so mad when somebody is betraying like crazy and they don’t get the boot option. whats worse is when i get booted for an accident. sorry that happened to you OP the boot thing sucks in reach 
Some have speculated that there is a karma system. The less you boot when you get the option, the more the people you betray can’t boot you. So the game thinks nice people will betray on accident.
But nice people can go Mr. Hyde sometimes.
That is speculation though.

1. The betrayal booting system in Reach is horrendously, inexcusably broken. As someone above me said, it is known to track some sort of statistic across multiple matches, but nobody seems to know just what it’s tracking.
2. The betrayal booting system actually is more likely to boot a retaliating player than it is to boot someone that betrays without provocation. Meaning it’s not just broken; it’s also incompetently designed.

I am almost certain that at minimum, there is a decaying rate for the threshold to issue the boot option. Meaning, if you betray a lot with you get less “patience” from the system, and it may give someone the option to boot you after only 1 betrayal in a game. Also, are you sure that you actually got “Betrayed” 5 times, and that you didn’t get betrayed once or twice, and then the other 3 she just dropped your shields and you got picked off by an opponent?
In regards to any other shenanigans of the betrayal system; I don’t know what to tell you other than the fact that i’m sure it is a pretty low priority for 343 and you shouldn’t even it to be getting fixed.

By far one of the biggest thing that pisses me off in Halo is when someone purposefully betrays me multiple times and when I retaliate is when I get booted. That and when I accidentaly kill someone in a way that there is no way he could have thought I did it on purpose and I get booted. The irony in the most recent example of this is when I was actually carying our sad team to victory. Have fun failing without me, -Yoink-.

And this match i just played, how in god is it my fault that a person tries to jack a banshee with 4 Plasma Gernades on it??? That’s so unfair…and now i gotta wait 15 minutes to play -.- because someone tried to hijack a flying bomb ^_^!
